The Gasp | Hellraiser (2022) Pixel FanArt [Eng-Esp]

When we talk about Hellraiser, that iconic 1987 film based on Clive Barker's book The Damned Heart, we can't help but think of that creature with spikes embedded in its head, which leads these creatures, lovers of pain, pleasure, and torture, called Cenobites.

However, with the arrival of Hellraiser (2022), which brought many changes and new Cenobites, I have become completely fascinated with one in particular, called "The Gasp". The second Cenobite in command, after Pinhead, and the one in charge of wielding the terrifying wires.

Cuando hablamos de Hellraiser esa iconica pelicula de 1987, basada en el libro El Corazón Condenado de Clive Barker, no podemos evitar pensar en ese ser con púas incrustadas en la cabeza, el cual encabeza a estas criaturas, amantes del dolor, el placer y la tortura, llamadas Cenobitas.

Sin embargo con la llegada de *Hellraiser* (2022), la cual trajo muchos cambios y nuevos cenobitas, he quedado completamente fascinada con uno en particular, llamado "The Gasp". El segundo cenobita al mando, después de Pinhead y el cual es el encargado de dirigir los aterradores alambres.

To represent this creature, I used a 103x103 pixel canvas, which is large enough to add many details to the illustration. In the sketch, I depicted the figure of a woman with two metal tubes attached to the skin of her shoulders and scalp, creating a kind of hood, as well as an opening between her neck and chest, through which she emits that gasping sound, hence her name.

Para representar a esta criatura, he usado un lienzo de 103x103 pixeles, tamaño suficiente para poder hacerle muchos detalles a la ilustración, en el boceto he plasmado a la figura de una mujer, con dos tubos metalicos, enganchados a la piel de sus hombros y su cuero cabelludo, creando una especie de capucha, ademas de esa abertura entre su cuello y su pecho, por la cual emite ese jadeo, proviniendo de alli su nombre.

After finishing the sketch, came what I considered the most difficult part: coloring. When applying the color, I had to think long and hard, removing and adding pixel details in order to achieve a resemblance to the character in question through the application of shading and lighting. And although it wasn't perfect, I managed to achieve a pretty decent result.

Después de haber terminado el boceto, vendria lo que consideré lo más dificil, el coloreado, ya que a la hora de aplicarlo tuve que darle muchas vueltas, quitando y poniendo detalles de pixeles, con el fin de lograr el parecido al personaje en cuestión, a traves de la aplicación del sombreado y las luces. Y aunque no quedó a la perfección, logré obtener un resultado bastante decente.
