Severance es una serie que tenia pendiente por ver desde hace meses pero simplemente no me animaba a hacerlo ya que tampoco era algo que me llamara demasiado la atención (al menos para verla sola) Pero en diciembre nos quedamos sin nada que ver luego de terminarnos todas las temporadas de American Horror Story y decidí decirle a mi esposo para ver esta serie, sorpresivamente el acepto, empezamos sin muchas esperanzas ya que actualmente las series solo nos decepcionan y lo realmente extraño llego cuando nos dimos cuenta que la serie nos estaba gustando mucho jaja. La temática es super interesante y te hace querer saber más y más.
Severance is a series I had been meaning to watch for months, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because it wasn't something that really appealed to me (at least not enough to watch it on my own). But in December, we ran out of things to watch after finishing all the seasons of American Horror Story, so I decided to ask my husband if he wanted to watch this series. Surprisingly, he agreed. We started watching without much hope, since series tend to disappoint us these days, but the really strange thing was when we realized that we were really enjoying the series, haha. The theme is super interesting and makes you want to know more and more.
Esta serie tiene una temática muy interesante y diferente de otras que haya visto, es una serie de ciencia ficción donde podemos ver una empresa que ofrece a sus empleados una operación donde tendrán diferentes conciencias en el trabajo, básicamente una persona divida en dos. En el trabajo eres uno y fuera de el eres otro, ninguna de estas dos conciencias recuerdas la vida del otro y es realmente extraño cuando lo piensas más a profundidad, pero a la vez super interesante. Evidentemente tenemos un personaje principal que en este caso se llama Mark, un hombre que en la vida diaria lleva una vida bastante deprimente ya que perdió a su esposa y básicamente eligió este trabajo para olvidarse de su vida por un par de horas. Pero la cosa se va poniendo cada vez mas perturbadora ya que mientras mas avanzamos en la serie podemos ir descubriendo algunos detalles y secretos, esta no es solo una empresa, para mi quedo claro que es casi una secta.
This series has a very interesting theme that is different from others I have seen. It is a science fiction series where we see a company that offers its employees an operation that will give them different consciousnesses at work, basically dividing a person into two. At work you are one person and outside of work you are another. Neither of these two consciousnesses remembers the life of the other, which is really strange when you think about it more deeply, but at the same time super interesting. Obviously, we have a main character, Mark, a man who leads a rather depressing life since he lost his wife and basically chose this job to forget about his life for a couple of hours. But things get more and more disturbing as we progress through the series and discover some details and secrets. This isn't just a company; to me, it's clear that it's almost a cult.

Es difícil hablar sin contar spoilers, pero realmente esta compañía tiene secretos muy oscuros. He leído comentarios negativos de esta serie pero sinceramente a mi me gusto bastante. Algunas personas opinan que avanza muy lento y si, es verdad, pero no me aburrió, cada episodio me parecía más interesante que el otro ya que la trama es tan original que te deja pensando mucho sobre el tema. Imagina tener dos conciencias y no recordar nada de la otra, prácticamente ser dos personas en una me parece una locura. La primera temporada para mi fue top.
It's difficult to talk about it without giving away spoilers, but this company really does have some very dark secrets. I've read negative reviews of this series, but honestly, I really liked it. Some people think it moves too slowly, and yes, that's true, but I wasn't bored. I found each episode more interesting than the last because the plot is so original that it leaves you thinking a lot about the subject matter. Imagine having two consciousnesses and not remembering anything about the other one. Being practically two people in one seems crazy to me. For me, the first season was the best.

Pero la segunda temporada si fue un poco mas aburrida, los primeros capítulos estuvieron “OK” luego pasamos a los desesperantes capítulos 6,7,8 que fueron sumamente lentos y confusos. Esta vez si eran lentos pero lentos sin sentido, escenas extremadamente largas que pudieron haberlas hecho mas breve y tener tiempo extra para contar un poco más. Aun asi debo confesar que el ultimo capítulo recompenso todo lo malo ya que me gustó muchísimo el ultimo capitulo, lo único malo es que este ultimo capitulo da a entender que se acerca otra temporada y por ahora tengo que esperar la tercera temporada para ver en que termina todo este desastre.
But the second season was a little more boring. The first few episodes were “OK,” then we moved on to the frustrating episodes 6, 7, and 8, which were extremely slow and confusing. This time they were slow, but slow in a meaningless way, with extremely long scenes that could have been made shorter to allow extra time to tell a little more of the story. Even so, I must confess that the last episode made up for all the bad stuff because I really liked it. The only downside is that this last episode hints at another season, and now I have to wait for the third season to see how this whole mess ends.

Otra cosa a destacar de esta serie es la intro que es una JOYA en arte, la intro muestra como mark esta dividido en varias versiones de él, tanto en la temporada 1 como en la temporada 2 las intro son simplemente ARTE surrealista de primera, es hermoso.
Another thing to highlight about this series is the intro, which is a GEM of art. The intro shows how Mark is divided into several versions of himself. In both season 1 and season 2, the intros are simply top-notch surrealist ART. It's beautiful.

Es una serie que recomiendo mucho, pero eso sí, tenerle paciencia y prestar mucha atención, ya que hay personas que se aburren con las tramas lentas, yo la encontré bastante interesante y no puedo esperar por la siguiente temporada.
It's a series that I highly recommend, but you have to be patient and pay close attention, as some people get bored with slow-paced plots. I found it quite interesting and can't wait for the next season.
