Diana Bishop is a historian who is also, secretly, a witch. One day, in the Oxford library, she comes across Ashmole 782, a manuscript that has been missing for a very long time. As a result of this discovery, she is forced to immerse herself in the magical world she has tried so hard to avoid in order to unravel the book’s mysteries.

Diana Bishop es una historiadora que, secretamente, también es una bruja. Un día, en la biblioteca de Oxford, accede al Ashmole 782, un manuscrito que lleva perdido muchísimo tiempo. A raíz de este hallazgo, se ve obligada a involucrarse de lleno en el mundo mágico del que tanto ha intentado apartarse para resolver los misterios del libro.

Along the way, she receives help from Matthew Clairmont, a renowned geneticist who turns out to be a vampire. As everyone knows, a witch should never trust a vampire... Will Diana be able to trust him and unravel the manuscript’s secrets?

En este camino recibe la ayuda de Matthew Clairmont, un reconocido genetista que resulta ser un vampiro. Como todos saben, una bruja nunca debería confiar en un vampiro... ¿Podrá Diana confiar en él y descifrar los secretos del manuscrito?

Fantasy, romance, magic, vampires, and the occasional journey... This story has it all. What I like most is how they introduce such interesting and diverse characters, and the way they blend these “creatures” into the mortal world. Even though everything takes place in realistic settings, you can always sense the magic present in some way.

Fantasía, romance, magia, vampiros y uno que otro viaje... Esta historia lo tiene todo. Lo que más me gusta es cómo presentan a personajes tan interesantes y variados, y la forma en que mezclan a las 'criaturas' con el mundo mortal. Aunque todo transcurre en escenarios realistas, siempre puedes sentir la magia presente de alguna forma.

Another aspect I really like about the show is how it handles the romance. Although it’s very much a central part of the story, it doesn’t dominate the plot, which allows the supporting characters and their stories to develop on their own. It’s a series with only three seasons (25 episodes in total), and I feel like the story pulls you in pretty quickly.

Otro aspecto que me gusta como lo lleva la serie es el romance. Aunque está muy presente, no acapara toda la trama, lo que permite que los personajes secundarios y sus historias tengan un desarrollo propio. Es una serie de solo 3 temporadas (25 capítulos en total) y siento que la historia te atrapa bastante rápido.
