Soy el número cuatro | Opinión [ESP-ENG]

Cuando era niña, me encantaban series como "Expedientes X" y amaba en especial "Roswel", ambas series basadas en extraterrestre, lo que más me gustaba era el suspenso del misterio detrás de la historia.

En estos días vi un corto sobre "I am number four" y llamó mucho mi atención, en especial porque me recordó a la historia de los chicos de Roswell, con la diferencia que no era una serie, si no una película, entonces la busqué para verla.

John Smith, así se hace llamar nuestro amigo de otro planeta, perdió todo, algo así como Superman, su mundo fue destruido, sus padres murieron y él tuvo que ir a otro planeta para esconderse y sí, es en el planeta tierra 🌎😅. La película lleva ese nombre debido a que John no es el único, fueron varios los que lograron escapar y además de eso él cuenta con un guardián que para los demás es como su padre. La película es algo confusa, pues no pasan escenas sobre el pasado, si no solo se cuenta la historia y no completa, esa es una de mis primeras quejas, no hay un claro contexto de lo sucedido y eso hace que bueno, solo observes la trama a ver qué pasa.

When I was a child, I loved series like "X-Files" and I especially loved "Roswell", both series based on extraterrestrials, what I liked the most was the suspense of the mystery behind the story.

These days I saw a short film about "I am number four" and it caught my attention, especially because it reminded me of the story of the Roswell kids, with the difference that it was not a series, but a movie, so I looked it up to see it.

John Smith, so he calls himself our friend from another planet, lost everything, something like Superman, his world was destroyed, his parents died and he had to go to another planet to hide and yes, it is on planet earth 🌎😅. The film is so named because John is not the only one, there were several who managed to escape and besides that he has a guardian who for the others is like his father. The movie is a bit confusing, because there are no scenes about the past, but only the story is told and not complete, that's one of my first complaints, there is no clear context of what happened and that makes you just watch the plot to see what happens.

Por otra parte, John en la tierra es un joven, que quiere socializar, aventurar y sí, también enamorarse, pero los de su especie tienen algo en particular con el amor. Pero a medida de que pasa el tiempo sus poderes irán desarrollándose y esto al mismo tiempo hará más difícil que él los mantenga ocultos. Además su protector le tiene prohibidas las fotografías y cualquier registro en Internet, por cual siempre está eliminado sus datos y pidiéndole que ande bajo perfil, lo cual no siempre es posible.

Hay una caja, una caja que su guardian trajo del mundo que eran, esa caja solo se ve unas 2 veces durante la película y lo único que se dice de ella, es que la dejó para John su papá, pero no se sabe para qué, ni qué hay en ella, nunca se sabe. Existen otros como él y están siendo casados, pero 🤷 nunca aparecen en escena, solo una de ellos que llega como guerrera a defender a John y a sus amigos humanos, de los cuales por cierto hay una historia alterna con el papá de uno, que también queda inconclusa.

But as time goes by his powers will develop and this at the same time will make it more difficult for him to keep them hidden. In addition his protector has forbidden him from photographs and any record on the Internet, which is why he is always deleting his data and asking him to keep a low profile, which is not always possible.

There is a box, a box that his guardian brought from the world they were, that box is only seen about 2 times during the movie and the only thing that is said about it, is that he left it for John his dad, but it is not known for what, nor what is in it, you never know. There are others like him and they are being married, but 🤷 they never appear in the scene, only one of them who arrives as a warrior to defend John and his human friends, of which by the way there is an alternate history with the dad of one, which also remains unfinished.

La película a punta a una segunda parte, da todas las señales para ello, ya que falta contexto y desarrollo de la misma, sin embargo e investigando, esta película es del 2014 y en 11 años que han pasado hasta la actualidad no existe una segunda parte, quizás se quedaron sin presupuesto, por los efectos de tan baja calidad o qué pasaría jajaja. Pero el hecho es, que si quieres ver una película y quedarte con mil dudas y cero respuestas, esta es la indicada 😅.

The film to tip to a second part, gives all the signs for it, since it lacks context and development of the same, however and investigating, this film is from 2014 and in 11 years that have passed until today there is no second part, perhaps they ran out of budget, by the effects of such low quality or what would happen hahaha. But the fact is, if you want to watch a movie and be left with a thousand doubts and zero answers, this is the one 😅.
