🎬 Movie Review: Moana 2 [ES/EN]

¡Hola amigos! ¿Ustedes suelen mirar segundas partes sin haber visto la primera o son normales? Hace unos meses con una amiga teníamos ganas de ir al cine, pero no nos convencía ninguna de las películas que estaban en cartelera, sin embargo, las ganas pudieron más y optamos por ir a ver Moana 2 aunque ninguna de las dos había visto la primera. Me gustaría decir que es la primera vez que lo hago, pero la verdad es que ya lo hice otras veces y para ser honesta, al final se entienden igual. Hoy me gustaría hablarles sobre mis impresiones de esta segunda película sin haber visto la primera.

Hi friends! Do you usually watch second parts without having seen the first one or are they normal? A few months ago with a friend we wanted to go to the movies, but we were not convinced by any of the movies that were on the billboard, however, the desire was stronger and we decided to go see Moana 2 although neither of us had seen the first one. I would like to say that this is the first time I do it, but the truth is that I have done it before and to be honest, in the end they are the same. Today I would like to tell you about my impressions of this second movie without having seen the first one.

La historia nos muestra a una Moana más madura que sigue navegando los mares en su barca improvisada. Ella busca explorar otras islas con la esperanza de encontrar otros habitantes, pero no tiene éxito. Hasta que vuelve a su hogar y se le revela una visión donde tiene que encontrar una isla llamada Motufetu que se encuentra hundida en el fondo del mar por el malvado dios Nalo, y será la clave para volver a conectar las islas para así evitar que su hogar termine pereciendo. Es allí donde empieza la nueva aventura de Moana que incluye derrotar a Nalo y salvar su hogar con la ayuda de sus amigos, y del dios Maui que se termina uniendo posteriormente ya que tiene cuentas pendientes con Nalo.

The story shows us a more mature Moana who continues to sail the seas in her makeshift boat. She seeks to explore other islands in hopes of finding other inhabitants, but is unsuccessful. Until she returns home and a vision is revealed to her where she has to find an island called Motufetu that is sunk to the bottom of the sea by the evil god Nalo, and will be the key to reconnect the islands to prevent her home from perishing. It is there where Moana's new adventure begins, which includes defeating Nalo and saving her home with the help of her friends, and the god Maui who ends up joining her later since he has a score to settle with Nalo.

Bueno, no permitan que alguien les diga que no pueden disfrutar una película sin haber visto su antecesora jajaja. La verdad es que se termina entendiendo, con mi amiga nos sumergimos en la historia desde el primer instante y la disfrutamos un montón. Nos reímos muchísimo y al final terminé super emocionada.

Well, don't let anyone tell you that you can't enjoy a movie without having seen its predecessor hahaha. The truth is that you end up understanding it, with my friend we immersed ourselves in the story from the first moment and we enjoyed it a lot. We laughed a lot and at the end I ended up super excited.

Me encantó la historia que se contó y también me conmovió en cierto punto. Quizá no habré logrado entender algunas bromas o detalles internos que se me habrán pasado por alto, pero de todos modos fue una muy buena idea ir a verla. La pasamos genial y hasta sentí que la disfrutamos más que cualquier niño que estuvo en la sala. Si fuera por las risas, nos reíamos más nosotras que los niños. Igual hubo algunos chistes que eran más para los adultos que para ellos.

I loved the story that was told and was also moved at a certain point. I may have missed some jokes or inside details that I may have missed, but it was still a very good idea to go see it. We had a great time and I even felt like we enjoyed it more than any of the kids in the room. If it were for the laughs, we laughed more than the kids. There were still some jokes that were more for adults than for them.

Como solo Disney nos tiene acostumbrados, la animación me pareció bellísima y los efectos visuales eran hipnóticos, una muy buena combinación de efectos especiales. Además, su banda sonora acompaña muy bien cada momento, ya saben lo fan que soy de un buen soundtrack en los momentos claves, esto para mí hace la diferencia.

As only Disney has us used to, I found the animation beautiful and the visual effects were hypnotic, a very good combination of special effects. In addition, the soundtrack accompanies every moment very well, you know how much I love a good soundtrack at key moments, this makes the difference for me.

Y como les dije, me encantó la historia y al final no pude evitar emocionarme. Adoré a los personajes protagónicos y a los que se unieron a la aventura, fueron un muy buen aporte. Amo las películas de Disney y me hubiera encantado ver la primera (no, todavía no la vi) y ahora creo que si hicieran una tercera película me gustaría mucho ir a verla también porque de verdad me pareció muy divertida y pasamos un gran momento con mi amiga. Así que si no la vieron se la recomiendo.

And as I told you, I loved the story and at the end I couldn't help but get excited. I loved the main characters and the ones that joined the adventure, they were a very good addition. I love Disney movies and I would have loved to see the first one (no, I haven't seen it yet) and now I think if they made a third movie I would really like to go see it too because I really thought it was a lot of fun and we had a great time with my friend. So if you haven't seen it I recommend it.
