PERSONAL REVIEW OF THE MOVIE : RECORD OF YOUTH

It took me 2 weeks to complete the entire 16 episode of the movie series titled "record of youth" which featured popular Korean actors like Park bo-gum,Park So-dam, Byeon Woo-seok and some others. The movie genre is based on romance, drama and youth.

Just like every other movie, they tends to retouch some areas of life that the audience can relate with. Hence, the movie is one that is not just based on romance alone but also reflect the struggles that people especially do use face when trying to succeed in a tough and competitive world.

The movie explores growth and failures that people go true before the actually achieved their goals and successes. In our contemporary world it takes a lot of hard work,consistency,setbacks and strongwill to be able to succeed in various industries, especially entertainment in our world as a youth.

Record of youth is a movie about a a male model and an aspiring actor who is finding it hard to be successful in the industry. At first, he became a successful model and hit the runway for some popular fashion designers, but along the way he fell off the popularity Lane and his agency decided to cut ties with him. He was determined to become an actor and did not give up on his dream.

When his agency terminated his contract because he was no longer generating revenue for them, he teamed up with a co-worker who became his manager and they tried their possible means to make sure that he landed roles that made him visible to the k-drama fans.

He struggled so hard to make ends meet by working part-time jobs because his father and brother did not believe in his career choice however his grandfather and mother where he support system. Along the way, he meets a female makeup artist who was his fan but later became his girlfriend. When he became a star, he experienced several scandals that tried to terminate his stardom. But in the end, he conquered.

One thing I personally Drew out of the movie is the fact that in this life, the people that will help you will definitely not stress you and demand excessively from you. In this movie, the actor experienced serious tension between what his family expected him to become and what he wanted for his personal ambition. He had always wanted to be in the entertainment industry ever since growing up but his father was so strict and less caring to consider the choices of his son. Hence, he tried to impose the reality of facing the present rather than building on his dream.

In conclusion, the movie was a great watch as it teaches about the sweetness and bitterness of young love and that dreams can also become a hassle and create distance amongst friends, families and lovers.
