Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure (2022)
Hello everyone. When it comes to animations, cartoons, mascots, or representative drawings, it's curious how the most unrealistic ones often become the most striking or beloved by the public, the ones that remain in the memory of many. All it takes is for them to have some characteristic that creates a personality that makes them instantly recognizable, and they'll undoubtedly find a place in many hearts. And one of the companies that has best achieved this over the years is undoubtedly Sanrio, which, following this kawaii and eye-catching aesthetic, has managed to hook many of us with diverse characters who stand out for their unique personalities, allowing everyone to identify with them. And it was precisely in 2013 that Gudetama was created, the character who was an egg yolk that constantly seemed tired and lacking in energy, but who won over audiences, not only in Japan but also in Latin America. This led to him getting his own series years later, so I'll take this opportunity to give you my opinion about "Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure."

En lo que se trata de animaciones, caricaturas, mascotas o dibujos representativos, curiosamente, los más irreales llegan a ser los llamativos o los más queridos por el público y los que se logran mantener en el recuerdo de muchos. Solo basta con que tengan alguna característica que logre crearles una personalidad que solo haga que se lo relacionen a ese, y sin duda tendrá un buen lugar en el gusto de muchos. Y una de las empresas que más ha logrado esto con los años es sin duda Sanrio, quien, siguiendo esta estética de kawaii y llamativo, ha logrado que muchos quedemos enganchados con diversos personajes que van destacando por sus diversas personalidades, con las que cada quien logra hacerse sentir identificado. Y justamente en el año 2013 se creó Gudetama, el personaje que era una yema de huevo que constantemente parecía estar cansado y sin energía, pero que se ganó al público, no solo japonés, sino latino, y eso llegó a que años más tarde tuviera su propia serie, por lo que aprovecharé y les daré mi opinión acerca de "Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure".
A hybrid television series blending animation and live-action, produced by the Japanese studios Gathering and Oriental Light and Magic, it was released on Netflix in December 2022. The series consists of 10 ten-minute episodes, making it a short series, but no less impressive in its attention to detail and the seamless integration of animation and the portrayal of this unique character within the story. The story centers on a young chick embarking on a cross-country adventure to find its mother, accompanied by Gudetama. Together, they encounter various scenarios, each presenting a different message and lesson along the way.
Siendo una serie de televisión híbrida en la que vemos tanto animación como vida real, realizada por los estudios japoneses Gathering y Oriental Light and Magic, esta fue publicada a través de Netflix en diciembre de 2022, contando con un total de 10 episodios con la duración de 10 minutos cada uno, haciéndola una serie corta, pero no por eso una obra real en cuanto a detalles y fusión de lo que es la animación y la representación de este peculiar personaje dentro de la trama. Que, yendo a esto, nos situamos en la recién iniciada vida de un pequeño polluelo, el cual se embarca en la aventura de buscar a su madre por todo el país, llevando consigo como acompañante a Gudetama, con él enfrentando diversos escenarios donde no solo estarán ellos, sino diversas representaciones de mensajes y enseñanzas que estarán en su camino.
Personally, Gudetama is one of those characters whose tired and carefree nature has made me really like him, and even his design, while curious and striking, makes him fun. Without a doubt, this series generated that positive expectation. Furthermore, showcasing the diverse Japanese settings that contrasted with the animation details made each episode fun and captivating, making me want to watch each one closely. In turn, the complementary nature of the main characters—the energetic one who doesn't rest until he achieves his goal and the listless one who just wants to rest and wait for his expiration date—along with the present cute element, not only makes it that characteristic Sanrio hallmark but also immerses us in watching and anticipating what unfolds as a story.
Personalmente Gudetama es de esos personajes que por su forma de ser cansada y despreocupada me ha llegado a gustar mucho e incluso su diseño es aunque curioso y llamativo hace que sea divertido , por lo que sin duda está serie siento que género esa espectativa positiva además mostrando los diversos escenarios japoneses que contrastaban con los detalles de animación hacían que cada capítulo fuera divertido y llamativo queriendo ver atentamente cada uno de estos , a su vez la complementación de los personajes principales siendo el energíco que no descansa hasta conseguir su proposito y el apagado que solo busca descansar y que llegue su momento de caducidad así como el elemento tierno presente hace que no solo sea ese sello característico de Sanrio sino que nos sumerge en ver y estar a la espectativa en lo que se nos proyecta como historia.
It's a series that's undoubtedly geared not only towards fans of Sanrio and its characters, but also for those who enjoy this style of production that includes visual art (which is a total delight for any lover of Japanese culture). It's one of those opportunities to enjoy a quiet but pleasant moment, since that's what it curiously conveys. Although it's a comedy that aims to be funny through moments very specific to each character, like Gudetama in a sushi shop and various elements that allude to and remind us that he's an egg and a chick, this makes everything seem calm and even enjoyable, and that's undoubtedly part of its appeal, since this series was quite popular and received good reviews from its audience.
Es una serie que sin duda está orientada no solo a los fanáticos de Sanrio y sus personajes sino que para quienes disfrutan este estilo de producción que incluye arte visual (que para todo amante de la cultura japonesa es un total gusto) es una de esas oportunidades para disfrutar de un momento tranquilo pero agradable puesto que es lo que transmite curiosamente aunque es una comedia que busca ser graciosa a través de momentos muy propios de cada personaje como lo que es Gudetama en un local de shushi y diversos elementos que aluden y recuendan que es un huevo y un pollito ,este hace que todo se vea con una calma que es hasta disfrutable y que son duda es parte de su enganche ya que está serie tuvo bastante popularidad y buenas críticas en cuando a su audiencia.
In short, a fun series that won't disappoint Gudetama fans and that I personally enjoyed a lot, so I recommend it even to those who know nothing about Sanrio. So, without further ado, and hoping you enjoy it, thank you very much for reading.
