Sequels, Reboots, and Nostalgia: Has Hollywood Lost Its Original Spark? 🤔🎬

Hey Ecency community!
I was looking over the upcoming movie slate and noticed we are getting Toy Story 5, Scary Movie 6, and endless live-action remakes. It got me thinking about the state of cinema today.
Don't get me wrong—I love a good nostalgia trip as much as anyone. But remember when we used to get completely fresh, original stories that blew our minds without needing a "Part 4" attached to the title?
It feels like major studios are terrified of taking risks on new ideas, preferring to rely strictly on established intellectual property to secure box office numbers.
I want to open the floor to the community today:
Are you experiencing franchise fatigue, or do you still look forward to sequels?
What is the last truly ORIGINAL movie you watched that completely blew you away?
