I was lucky enough to be able to see this movie at the cinema with friends. Without a doubt, it is a pleasant memory of my adolescence.
Tuve la suerte de poder ver esta película en el cine con amigos. Sin dudas, es un recuerdo agradable de mi adolescencia.
In this opportunity I want to talk a little bit and give my point of view about World War Z.
En esta oportunidad quiero hablar un poco y dar mi punto de vista sobre Guerra Mundial Z.
In principle, this film does not come to bring us something innovative. It uses the typical zombie pandemic concept. At that time, it was already being exploited a lot. This does not make it a bad movie, far from it. I simply mention that at that time the zombie genre was already quite saturated.
En principio, esta película no viene a traernos algo innovador. Utiliza el típico concepto de pandemia zombi. Que en ese entonces, ya estaba siendo muy explotado. Esto no la vuelve una mala película, ni muchos menos. Simplemente, menciono que en ese momento ya estaba bastante saturado el género de zombis.
A curious fact is that World War Z came out 13 days after The Last of Us game.

The zombies in this movie are not like the ones in other similar productions. For example, the ones in The Walking Dead are slow and clumsy, the ones in World War Z are very fast and athletic. They are like zombies on steroids. And this is what made it generate terror at times.
Los zombis de esta película no son como los de otras producciones similares. Por ejemplo, los de The Walking Dead son lentos y torpes, los de Guerra Mundial Z son muy rápidos y atléticos. Son como zombis con esteroides. Y esto es lo que hacía que te generara terror por momentos.
Besides, I found original the concept that the zombies only attack healthy people. Since the virus is not interested in those who suffer from any disease or pathology. I guess this is because they have no use for a sick body to spread.
Aparte que me pareció original el concepto de que los zombis solo atacan a las personas sanas. Ya que el virus no le interesa a aquellos que sufren de alguna enfermedad o patología. Supongo que esto se debe a que no les sirve un cuerpo enfermo para propagarse.
I would like to highlight a scene that was absolute CINEMA. I mean where Gerry, the main character is locked in a disease warehouse. When in a desperate measure he injects himself with a random disease, believing that zombies don't attack sick people. Seeing that moment when he opened the door and a zombie completely ignores him made my skin crawl. For me, this was the best scene in the entire movie by a wide margin.
Quisiera resaltar una escena que fue absoluto CINE. Me refiero en donde Gerry, el protagonista está encerrado en un almacén de enfermedades. Cuando en una medida desesperada se inyecta una enfermedad al azar, creyendo que los zombis no atacan a personas enfermas. Ver ese momento cuando abrió la puerta y un zombi lo ignora completamente hizo que se me erice la piel. Para mí, esta fue la mejor escena de toda la película por amplia diferencia.
On the other hand, I didn't like that there are so many script conveniences. I mean those things that are incorporated by force and without much sense in order to advance the plot to the point they want. For example, there is a scene where they are on a plane, a stewardess goes to the bathroom and a zombie comes out, how did a zombie get locked in there? Why didn't it come out before if they are supposed to be sensitive to noise? I don't mean to be pretentious, the problem is that this type of situation happened several times in the movie. I wouldn't mind if it was just a couple of times.
Por otro lado, no me gustó que haya tantas conveniencias de guion. Me refiero a esas cosas que incorporan a la fuerza y sin mucho sentido para que la trama avance al punto que se quiere. Por ejemplo, hay una escena donde están en un avión, una azafata se acerca al baño y de ahí sale un zombi.¿Cómo llegó un zombi a encerrarse ahí? ¿Por qué no había salido antes si supuestamente son sensibles al ruido? No quiero ser pretencioso, el problema es que este tipo de situaciones se dio varias veces en la película. No me molestaría su solo fueran un par de veces.
Another thing I didn't like so much is that the secondary characters lasted very little and some of them died in very stupid ways. I understand that we are in a zombie apocalypse, but the main character can't be one of the very few who survive.
Otra cosa que no me gustó tanto es que los personajes secundarios duraban muy poco y algunos morían de formas muy estúpidas. Entiendo que estamos en un apocalipsis zombi, pero el protagonista no puede ser de los poquísimos qué sobrevivan.
There was a moment where we were introduced to a prodigy virologist who was going to be the hope of humanity. And 10 minutes later he dies when he shoots himself with his gun after tripping. It even comes across as a comedy. 😅
Hubo un momento donde se nos presentó un virólogo prodigio que iba a ser la esperanza de la humanidad. Y 10 minutos después se muere al dispararse con su arma luego de tropezarse. Hasta llega a parecer una comedia. 😅
In conclusion, this is a good movie and I recommend it. Especially if you are a fan of the zombie genre. Don't expect to find a masterpiece though. It has its flaws and mistakes.
En conclusión, esta es una buena película y la recomiendo. Sobre todo si eres fan del género de zombis Aunque no esperen encontrarse con una obra maestra. Tiene sus fallos y errores.
In closing, I would like to say that I give World War Z a rating of 7.5/10.

I enjoyed World War Z more than I thought I would have. I still have not read the book it is based on though. I figure that would end like most situations in the past where I read the book after watching the movie - the book is so much better, but quite different in key moments, sometimes as much as the second half of the movie diverging away.
That scene where various diseases were stored certainly was wild and tense. They did that particular scene quite well.
Anyone on the fence on watching World War Z, set aside your basic understanding or thoughts about how society should operate and just enjoy the movie. It is a decent action flick.
I didn't read the book either, but in the reviews that I saw to make this blog, they say that there are several differences with respect to the movie. And that indeed, it is better.
I agree with the latter, the movie is decent and is recommended. It's not perfect, but it's worth it.

Te diré esto aunque parezca chistoso, pero creo que soy la única chica a la que no le parece atractivo Brad Pitt y mucho menos que sea un gran actor, jaja. Bueno, tampoco es que sea malísimo; lo que quiero decir es que si tú la recomiendas, ha de ser buena, pero la verdad yo paso, jaja. Además, los zombies me dan miedo.

Puedo entender que no te parezca buen actor, pero no podes decir que no es atractivo jaja. Ahora no tanto porque tiene 60 años en la peli está grande, pero hace 20 o 30 años era un icono de la belleza. Aun así respeto que no te guste jaja.
Si te dan miedo los zombis, no la veas. Encima esta película tiene bastante de terror.
