Film Review: Lilo & Stitch (Live Action) ✨ | Is it as good as it looks? 🩵 [ENG-ESP]

Yesterday I had the opportunity to see the Live Action of Lilo and Stitch and I was really impressed with how well developed the story was, very close to the original, where the characters were mostly part of this version and also the actors did a great job in doing their best to make the story worthwhile, why lie to you, I loved it from beginning to end! So I invite you to read my review.

Many of us know this story from the animated movies that came out more than twenty years ago, it seems like yesterday when I saw the first movie for the first time and now that I have seen it in Live Action is amazing, I feel a little old haha. I didn't have many positive expectations about the movie because they have already released other versions of animated movies that have not turned out well at all, either by the choice of actors or by telling the story differently and changing things that are essential at the time of making the Live Action version.

For those who have no idea what the movie is about, the story tells the life of a little girl named Lilo who lives with her older sister in Hawaii, surrounded by a very beachy house and the memories of her parents who passed away. Their house is very much the style you would see in the middle of the beach and the whole story takes place in this place as striking as Hawaii. Both Lilo and her sister try to lead a life as normal and quiet as possible, especially when a person in charge of the care of minors appears and knowing that Lilo is with her sister, this person will be in charge of seeing if Lilo's sister is really a responsible and suitable person to take care of her as she should.

Lilo's sister tries to balance her life between taking care of Lilo, looking for a stable job, keeping custody of Lilo and living together even though she also has her own dreams like being a Marine Biologist, but due to her lack of time and priorities she doesn't think it's a good idea to leave Lilo and pursue her dream, even more when there is the wound of the loss of their parents suddenly and that left in both of them a very big emptiness. But not everything is sadness in this story, the other part that makes it fun to watch is missing: Stitch, the animal-alien who comes from space escaping from his creator and the beings that are in charge of ruling that place.

Details I liked about the movie: the way they stayed true to the original story except for small changes, the good acting of the girl who plays Lilo and who plays her in a unique and funny way, also Lilo's sister who always shows that her love for her is above anything including her own dream that in the end she doesn't leave behind at all. The set design is incredible, everything is very beachy and the actors fit the environment perfectly, there are the other alien agents Pleakley and Jumba who desperately seek to return Stitch because he was created with the intention of being evil and ending the hierarchy led by the Great Galactic Counselor.

Everything in general was pretty good and I liked the message they leave when Nani has to decide about her future, she knows that it is important that Lilo has a stability and a place where she can grow up quietly and learn to love her peculiarities that make her unique. Stitch is extremely adorable, the shape they gave him was perfect for the movie, I feel they couldn't have made him more accurate and also the scenes where he is interacting with Lilo don't feel strange, which makes the movie even cuter and very entertaining. If you get a chance to see the movie, do it because even I who am skeptical about Live Action was able to enjoy this one as if I was re-watching the original movie from so many years ago. 🩵

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren bien. Ayer tuve la oportunidad de ver el Live Action de Lilo y Stitch y realmente quedé impresionada de lo bien desarrollada que estuvo la historia muy apegada a la original, dónde los personajes en su gran mayoría formaron parte de esta versión y también los actores hicieron un gran trabajo en cuánto a hacer lo mejor posible para que la historia valiera la pena. ¡Para que les miento, me encantó de principio a fin! Así que los invito a leer mi reseña.

Muchos conocemos está historia de las películas animadas que salieron hace más de veinte años, parece que fue ayer cuando ví la primera película por primera vez y que ahora la haya visto en Live Action es increíble, me siento algo vieja jaja. No tenía muchas expectativas positivas sobre la película porque ya han sacado otras versiones de películas animadas que no han salido para nada bien, ya sea por la elección de los actores o por contar la historia de manera diferente y cambiar cosas que son esenciales al momento de hacer la versión Live Action.

Para los que no tengan una idea de que va la película, la historia nos cuenta la vida de una niña llamada Lilo quien vive con su hermana mayor en Hawai, rodeada de una casa muy playera y con los recuerdos de sus padres quienes fallecieron. Su casa es muy del estilo que verías en medio de la playa y toda la historia se desarrolla en este lugar tan llamativo como lo es Hawai. Tanto Lilo como su hermana intentan llevar una vida lo más normal y tranquila posible sobre todo cuando se presenta una persona encargada de velar por el cuidado de los menores de edad y sabiendo que Lilo está con su hermana, está persona se encargará de ver si realmente la hermana de Lilo es una persona responsable y apta para poder cuidar de ella como se debe.

La hermana de Lilo trata de equilibrar su vida entre cuidar a Lilo, buscar un trabajo estable, quedarse con la custodia de Lilo y vivir juntas a pesar de que ella también tiene sus propios sueños como el de ser Bióloga Marina, pero debido a su falta de tiempo y de prioridades no piensa que sea una buena idea dejar a Lilo y perseguir su sueño, aún más cuando está la herida de la perdida de sus padres de manera repentina y que dejó en ambas un vacío muy grande. Pero no todo es tristeza en esta historia, falta la otra parte que hace que sea divertida de ver: Stitch, el animal-alienigena que viene del espacio escapando de su creador y de los seres que se encargan de gobernar ese lugar.

Detalles que me gustaron de la película: la forma en la que se mantuvieron fieles a la historia original exceptuando pequeños cambios, la buena actuación de la niña que hace de Lilo y que la interpreta de manera única y divertida, también la hermana de Lilo quien demuestra siempre que su amor por ella está por encima de cualquier cosa incluyendo su propio sueño que al final no deja atrás del todo. La escenografía es increíble, todo es muy playero y los actores se adaptan perfectamente al ambiente, están los otros agentes alienígenas Pleakley y Jumba quienes buscan desesperadamente regresar a Stitch debido a que fue creado con la intención de ser malvado y acabar con la jerarquía liderada por la Gran Consejera Galáctica.

Todo en general estuvo bastante bien y me gustó el mensaje que dejan cuando Nani debe decidir sobre su futuro, sabe que es importante que Lilo tenga una estabilidad y un lugar donde pueda crecer tranquila y aprender a amar sus peculiaridades que la hacen única. Stitch es sumamente adorable, la forma que le dieron quedó perfecta para la película, siento que no lo pudieron haber hecho más exacto y además no se sienten extrañas las escenas donde está interactuando con Lilo, lo que hace que la película sea aún más bonita y muy entretenida. Si tienen la oportunidad de ver la película, háganlo porque hasta yo que soy escéptica sobre los Live Action pude disfrutar esta como si volviera a ver la película original de hace tantos años. 🩵
