Review sites are so full of crap - especially when politics are involved
Do anything remotely political and watch the review bombing begin. That is what has recently happened with Melania, a documentary film sort of thing that I didn't intend to watch, until the maniacs decided to get into the comments section and write a review for something that I am certain that 95% of the people in there haven't even watched.

Regardless of how a person feels about her husband, I think that a story of someone coming from her background, learning a bunch languages, becoming successful as a model while also staying clean and not letting the industry corrupt her, obtaining citizenship, and then becoming the first lady of the most powerful country in the world, twice, is a pretty interesting topic. However, I likely wouldn't know even known this was released had it not been for all the nastiness that has surrounded its release.

There is zero chance these people watched the film and it just goes to show how absolutely insane people are about politics. Why hate on Melania? Why try to trash her film? Also, the free publicity all of this is garnering is going to encourage the people who absolutely love Donald Trump to go out and see this when they perhaps wouldn't have bothered to do so before now.
Looking over at the other popular review site, we get a similarly stupid result but in the opposite direction

When we make a few clicks we get to see what the results are for the "unverified audience" and it tells another story entirely.

What this says to me is that there are tens of thousands of crazy people out there that took time out of their day to go and sign up in order to leave a bogus review of someone that they really hate. I think there are a lot of people out there with mental problems for sure.
But this isn't a political post guys, I stay away from all of that shite. I likely will watch this though because I kind of would like to know her backstory. She is not the president after all and seems like a genuinely kind and intelligent person She's also stunningly beautiful and I think that is just an objective fact. She has an unusual look at that likely made her a model in the first place.
I recall in the past that when something that hadn't even been released yet got review bombed like this, the review sites would overhaul the results or change the results or pause voting or something like that. I wonder why they didn't do that this time... lol.
I was most upset about a film called 28 Years Later which I thought was a steaming pile of doo doo. It was so filled with holes and was just not very good. It was the biggest letdown of last year but this project, which is a planned trilogy, was totally protected by the media who would all stray away from being even remotely critical of it. Reviews were scrubbed and rigged and a "weighted score" was used to ensure that the 6-7/10 remained intact. We are seeing the same thing happen with the latest version of that trilogy that I am so uninterested in I don't even remember the name of it.
I don't think it is at all a secret that the review sites simply cannot be trusted. They have agendas and especially when it comes to something political, there are a lot of crazies out there that somehow think that they are doing something virtuous by ripping a film a new one en masse when it probably ends up having the opposite effect and now more people are going to go and see it than originally would have if the reviewers had just been honest and said something like "I didn't watch it and I never will because I am a crazy person that makes everything in my life political even though I am miserable because of it!"
I watch a lot of stuff that is rated poorly on both IMDB and RT and end up really enjoying many of the films and shows. The opposite is also true where something has really high marks and I find it to be trivial garbage. These review sites were always going to get corrupted, you are better off reading what someone has to say here IMO.
We are spoiled for choice these days but I think one thing is true and that is that the review sites are, and likely always were, rigged. The dead internet theory is a good one and maybe there is a movie out there about that. That's something me and 100,000 bots could all watch together!
Some might wonder why the director, Brett Ratner, hasn't really done anything since 2017
