Proof That the Formula Always Works
Nobody 2 is the sequel to Nobody, a film that left me quite “fascinated,” you could say, since the first time I saw it was with some friends and I really wasn't expecting the style of the film. I knew absolutely nothing about the plot or the genre of the film, but as we watched it, my surprise at this film grew. Nobody is a kind of John Wick-style “comedy,” in that it's very much like the film starring Keanu Reeves, but without that serious touch that characterizes it.

Nadie 2 es la película secuela de Nadie, un filme que me dejo bastante “fascinado”, podría decirse, ya que la primera vez que la vi fue con unos amigos y la verdad no me esperaba el estilo de la película, no sabía absolutamente nada sobre la trama ni el género de la película pero mientras la íbamos viendo más grande era mi sorpresa para esta película. Nadie es como una especie de “comedia” al estilo John Wick, y es que es al más puro de la película protagonizada por Keanu Reeves pero sin ese toque tan serio que las caracteriza.
SourceAs always, and as is customary around here, let's first take a look at what this sequel is about. Nobody 2 continues the story of Hutch, who this time goes on vacation with his family to an amusement park he once visited as a child. As expected, the family trip is interrupted by dangerous characters who control the town, which will draw Hutch into something much bigger.
Nobody is the kind of movie where we're going to find a super clever and convoluted plot; it's quite the opposite. It's one where you just sit back and enjoy what's in front of your eyes, and that's it. On this occasion, one point I would like to highlight is that Hutch's family has a little more screen time compared to the previous installment, which is not surprising since the central premise of the film is that Hutch goes to a town to enjoy a well-deserved vacation with them.
Como siempre, y ya es de costumbre por aquí, primero vemos sobre qué va esta secuela. Nadie 2 continua la historia de Hutch, donde esta vez va de vacaciones con su familia a un parque de diversiones donde alguna vez fue en su niñez. Como era de esperarse el viaje familiar se ve interrumpido por personajes peligrosas que controlan el pueblo, lo que ira adentrando a Hutch en algo mucho más grande.
Nadie es el tipo de película en la que nos va a llegar buscando una super trama toda ingeniosa y enrevesada, es completamente lo contrario, es una donde te sientas solo a disfrutar que lo tienes delante de tus ojos y ya. En esta ocasión un punto que me gustaría resaltar es que la familia de Hutch tiene un poco de participación en la pantalla a comparación con su anterior entrega y es que no es para menos ya que la premisa central de la película es que Hutch se va a un pueblo a disfrutar de unas merecidas vacaciones junto a ellos.
SourceThis sequel left me a little disappointed. The first one was completely epic and, while not innovative, fresh enough to make me want to see more of Hutch's adventures in this Rush Hour-style 007 world. But as I watched it, I couldn't help feeling that it was more of the same. I mean, the first one was good and very entertaining, but the second one left me with the impression that I was watching the first one but with a change of skin. Perhaps the intention is to do the same thing but with slight changes and continue to enjoy it without too many complications, but it's impossible for me to enjoy it without feeling that what I was seeing for the first time I had already seen somewhere else. Even the beginning and ending are the same as the first installment, and even the introduction showing the daily routine is the same.
Despite feeling like I'm seeing the same thing again, I can't deny that it's entertaining. This time around, we're introduced to different characters with different ambitions. I don't think they're on the same level as the first film, but they do their job and that's welcome. The action scenes and choreography are simply very, very entertaining. It's great fun to see Hutch back in action, only this time his family is a little more involved, and there are small hints and the occasional scene about his past.
Esta secuela me dejo un poco a la expectativa, la primera fue completamente épica y algo, si bien no es innovador, lo suficientemente fresco para seguir queriendo ver un poco más sobre las aventuras de Hutch en este mundo de 007 a lo Rush Hour pero mientras la veía no podía evitar sentir que era más de lo mismo. Digo, la primera estuvo bien y muy entretenida pero, la segunda me dejo la impresión de estar viendo la primera pero con un cambio de skin. Posiblemente la intención sea hacer lo mismo pero con ligeros cambios y seguir disfrutando sin tantas complicaciones, pero es que me es imposible poder disfrutarla sin sentir que lo que estaba viendo por primera vez ya lo había visto en otro lugar, y es que hasta comienza y termina igual que la primera entrega, hasta la introducción mostrando la rutina de todos los días es la misma.
A pesar de esta tener la sensación de ver lo mismo, no puedo negar que el hecho de que es entretenida, en esta ocasión nos presentan a presentan a distintos personajes con diferentes ambiciones, no creo que estén al nivel de la primera película, pero hacen su trabajo y eso es bien recibido. Las escenas de acción, las coreografías simplemente son muy pero muy entretenidas, se disfruta mucho ver a Hutch volver a la acción solo que esta vez su familia tiene un poco más de participación y deja pequeños indicios y alguna que otra escena sobre su pasado.
SourceHutch's work seems to be a family legacy, and I wouldn't be surprised if they produced a third installment with Brady, Hutch's son, since even they make it clear that the boy has potential for the profession. We'll see what happens in the next installments of this story. The pace of the film is very similar to that of the first one, managing to introduce enough scenes to keep you from getting bored, with action that is off the charts and the necessary scenes to develop the small subplots that arise from the main story.
This post will be a little shorter than the others because, in my opinion, I've already covered the most interesting new aspects of this second installment. I recommend watching the movie because it never hurts to relax a little and simply enjoy a good film that distracts you for a moment. On the other hand, if you're looking for complex plots or something with a bit more narrative depth, I recommend you move on and find another movie to watch because I doubt you'll find it here.
Lo de Hutch y su trabajo parece que es herencia familiar y no me extrañaría que si llegasen a producir una tercera entrega sea con Brady, el hijo de Hucth, ya que hasta ellos mismo dejan claro que el chico tiene potencial para la profesión, ya veremos qué pasará en las próximas entregas de esta historia. El ritmo de la película es muy parecido al de la primera, logra introducir suficientes escenas para no aburrirte donde la acción está por las nubes y las necesarias para desarrollar las pequeñas subtramas que se van generando con la historia principal.
Este post será un poco corto a comparación con los demás porque, según yo, ya abarqué lo nuevo y más interesante de esta segunda entrega. Te recomiendo ver la película ya que nunca está demás relajarse un poco y simplemente disfrutar de un buen filme que te distraiga un momento. Por otra parte, si lo que buscas son tramas complejas o algo con un poco trabajo a nivel narrativo, te recomiendo que sigas de largo y busques otra película que ver porque aquí dudo mucho que lo encuentres.
