Some people do wonderful things in their lives and dedicate themselves to developing their passion to help others. Such is the story of Christina Noble, a woman who was born in Ireland 80 years ago and her story is the real inspiration for the film I am reviewing today.
Christina was part of a very poor family, she helped her parents by singing in bars, she had several younger siblings and her father was addicted to alcohol. At the age of 10 her mother died and she was sent to an orphanage where she was punished for her indiscipline. She missed her siblings and longed to find them, but was told that they had died, which was a lie.
When she left the orphanage at the age of 18, with some coins she looked for her father and he deceived her by taking her money, leaving her on the street where she was raped by several men and as a result of this circumstance she became pregnant, although she worked and wanted to get ahead alone, she could not and had to receive help again from some nuns who deceived her and took her son away from her, giving him up for adoption against her will.
With a life full of traumas and pain, she began to work, fell in love and married giving birth to other children, but she was a victim of domestic violence and while she was going through all this process she began with a recurring dream that tormented her, in the dream she saw herself in other lands specifically in Vietnam, in my opinion I think she was impressed with the news of the war that that country was suffering and that was her main reason for wanting to change her life.

Algunas personas hacen cosas maravillosas en su vida y se dedican a desarrollar su pasión para ayudar a los demás. Así es la historia de Christina Noble, una mujer que nació en Irlanda hace 80 años y su historia es la inspiración real de la película que hoy reseño.Christina formaba parte de una familia muy pobre, ayudaba a sus padres cantando en bares, tenía varios hermanos menores y su padre tenía el vicio del alcohol. A los 10 años su madre murió y la enviaron a un orfanato donde sufrió castigos por su indisciplina. Ella extrañaba a sus hermanos y deseaba encontrarlos, pero le dijeron que habían fallecido siendo mentira.
Al salir del orfanato a sus 18 años, con algunas monedas buscó a su papá y esté la engaño quitándole su dinero, quedando en la calle donde es violada por varios hombres y producto de esa circunstancia quedó embarazada, aunque trabajó y quiso salir adelante sola, no pudo y tuvo que recibir de nuevo ayuda de unas monjas quienes la engañaron y le quitaron a su hijo dándolo en adopción en contra de su voluntad.
Con una vida llena de traumas y dolor, comenzó a trabajar, se enamoró y se casó dando a luz otros hijos, pero fue víctima de violencia doméstica y mientras pasaba todo ese proceso comenzó con un sueño recurrente que la atormentaba, en el sueño se veía en otras tierras específicamente en Vietnam, en mi opinión creo que se impresionó con las noticias de la guerra que sufría ese país y eso fue su motivo principal para querer cambiar de vida.
Years passed, her children grew up and she continued to have that recurring dream with the children of Vietnam, until she went to visit and found a harsh reality that reminded her of her childhood, so she began to take care of street children learning from that culture to change the lives of some children, she faced criminals who abused children and began to seek resources and support to form a home, She looked for work and that caused her problems with the government because her visa was for tourism, however, her actions were noticed and little by little the problems were solved until she achieved incredible things, saving from the streets children who were destined to die of hunger, to be prostituted and mutilated.
This woman went through mistreatment, cold and hunger, she even put her life in danger but she had a burning desire to help those children, she had the firm conviction that it only takes one person to make a difference and thanks to that thought she created the Christina Noble Children's Foundation in 1989, giving her own last name a powerful meaning to be Noble by caring about the welfare of others, acting with justice and without seeking personal benefits.
As for the direction of the film, the photography and handling of the cameras was very well done, they respected the child actors who participated, taking care of their images with perfect angles in strong scenes, the drama was accentuated with scenes in sepia color, they made the story enjoyable despite the harsh reality that this woman lived, it is inspiring and have a happy ending.

Pasaron los años, sus hijos crecieron y ella seguía teniendo ese sueño recurrente con los niños de Vietnam, hasta que fue de visita y se encontró con una dura realidad que le recordó su infancia, por eso comenzó a cuidar niños de la calle aprendiendo de esa cultura para cambiar la vida de algunos niños, se enfrentó a delincuentes que abusaban de niños y comenzó a buscar recursos y apoyo para formar una casa hogar, busco trabajo y eso le causó problemas con el gobierno porque su visa era de turismo, sin embargo, sus acciones se hicieron notar y poco a poco los problemas se fueron solucionando hasta lograr cosas increíbles, salvando de las calles niños que estaban destinados a morir de hambre, a ser prostituidos y mutilados.Esta mujer pasó maltratos, frío y hambre, incluso puso su vida en peligro pero tenía un deseo ardiente de ayudar a esos niños, ella tenía la firme convicción de que solo se necesita una persona para marcar la diferencia y gracias a ese pensamiento creó la Fundación para Niños Christina Noble en 1989, dando a su propio apellido un significado poderoso ser Noble al preocuparse por el bienestar de los demás, actuando con justicia y sin buscar beneficios personales.
En cuanto a la dirección de la película, la fotografía y el manejo de las cámaras estuvo muy bien logrado, respetaron a los niños actores que participaron, cuidando sus imágenes con ángulos perfectos en escenas fuertes, el dramatismo lo acentuaron con escenas en color sepia, hicieron qué la historia fuera agradable a pesar de la dura realidad que vivió esta mujer, es inspirador y tienen un final feliz.
Un ejemplo de cómo en lugar de quedarse como víctima, sacó fuerzas para voltear no solo su realidad sino la de muchos.
A mi me gustan las películas biográficas, pues conocer la realidad de otros, así sea mezclada con algo de ficción, es una manera de motivarse a dar todo por aquello que queremos.
Hola @mamaemigrante, esta mujer sigue con vida y su fundación ha ayudado amiles de niños, para mí se merece un Novel, igualmente me gustan las películas biopic por la misma razón.
