Bienvenidos a un nuevo post para los amantes del cine y de las series, hoy hare una "review" de serie "Monstruo", la historia de Ed Gein, una verdadera historia en la cual nos muestra la vida de un Necrófago, que también fue un asesino en serie y profanador de tumbas estadounidense. Espero que disfruten de mi review
Welcome to a new post for movie and TV series lovers! Today I'll be reviewing the series "Monster," the story of Ed Gein, a true story that shows us the life of a ghoul, who was also an American serial killer and grave robber. I hope you enjoy my review.

Como siempre todo tiene un inicio en esta historia aterradora, Ed Gein representa en los años aproximados del 1950 alguien con rasgos psicópatas, quien convive con la madre y que luego de su muerte empieza todo el caos en su vida, cosa que tampoco el detecta. Alucinando, dentro del plano de lo real, traer el cadaver de su madre a su hogar para vestirla y hablar con ella imaginariamente.
As always, everything has a beginning in this terrifying story. Ed Gein portrays, around the 1950s, someone with psychopathic traits who lives with his mother. After her death, chaos ensues in his life, something he doesn't even notice. He hallucinates, within the realm of reality, bringing his mother's corpse home to dress her and speak to her in his imagination.

His brother was someone who stood up to their mother, a weakness of our protagonist who defends her without hesitation. In a fit of anger, he ends up killing his older brother, who, as is often romanticized, was going to leave home to start a life with the person he loved. But without realizing it, he strikes him so hard that he dies. We see his first glimpse of reality as he imagines his brother getting up and speaking to him. The next day, he discovers he's still in the same place, cold...
Al ser un pueblo pequeño en los años 1930/50, pleno auge de la segunda guerra mundial, nuestro protagonista presencia imagenes que nos muestra su perturbacion a los cuerpos, y al tener una madre religiosa, padre alcoholico que abandona el hogar, siente calor de acogeo de su madre, esto lo podemos entender por como la trata
Being a small town in the 1930s/50s, at the height of World War II, our protagonist witnesses images that reveal his disturbing view of bodies. Having a religious mother and an alcoholic father who abandons the home, he feels a sense of warmth and comfort from his mother, which we can understand through the way he treats her.
La casa en la que vivia era oscura, fria, desordenada y sin mucha higiene, y como desenterraba cuerpos hacia todo tipo de atrosidades con la piel, a tal punto de hacer lamparas y cubiertas para sillas, esto aprendido por historietas nazis en donde se ve como esos actos se volvieron naturalizados
The house he lived in was dark, cold, messy, and unhygienic, and since he dug up bodies, he committed all sorts of atrocities with the skin, even making lampshades and chair covers. He learned this from Nazi comics, where such acts were normalized.
Luego de ser descubierto, es llevado a un centro psicologico donde pasa el resto de su vida, inclusive ayudando a la policia a encontrar varios asesinos por sus modos de operar que el claramente conocia por su experiencia. Aqui vemos un pasaje entre la psicologia bruta, la cual trataba al enfermo padeciente como animal, aunque en la serie nos muestra que lo que ve Ed Gein no es mas que solo su imaginacion.
After being discovered, he is taken to a psychiatric hospital where he spends the rest of his life, even helping the police find several killers because of their methods, which he clearly knew from his experience. Here we see a shift from brute psychology, which treated the suffering patient like an animal, to the approach of the past, although the series shows us that what Ed Gein sees is nothing more than his own imagination.
Sin duda les recomiendo la serie (si es que les gusta el terror y el suspenso) veran algunas cosas que les podria generar asco, pero no podemos olvidar que se trata de una historia real. Me gustó mucho, al igual que las dos primeras temporadas sobre Dahmer y la familia Meléndez; el actor que interpretó a Gein es muy bueno.
Sii, me gusto mucho su interpretacion, lastima la traduccion, lo tuve que ver en ingles
En lo personal, disfruté mucho la peli más allá de cositas que le encontré y con las que difiero. No me puse muy crítico y decidí verla de un tirón para entretenerme.

Nunca vi psicosis, pero si lei sobre el caso y la pelicula. Pero esta serie me dio mas ánimos de verla y ver los parentescos. Saludos amigo
