A Geeky Guy's Guide to Marvel Zombies

It goes without saying (then why the heck am I saying it?) that I am a huge Marvel fan. Since the Infinity Saga began way back with Iron Man I have loved almost every movie and television show they have produced. The only real exceptions are Eternals, Black Panther 2, and Secret Invasion. And even those I enjoyed enough watching once. I just won't ever watch them again.

I added those exceptions to try to show that I don't just automatically love everything Marvel produces. Because man I LOVED Marvel Zombies. It was an incredible show that packed with action.

As always, I will never post any spoilers, but to review this show, I must at least include the characters involved. If you think it will be a problem to hear which characters are involved, stop reading this and just go watch the show. If you care enough not to want things to be spoiled, then you are a true Marvel fan who will love Marvel Zombies.

Marvel Zombies takes off where the exciting What if... zombie episode left off. And I am thrilled that it did!

After watching the first of the four episodes of Marvel Zombies, I immediately began hoping that the rumored "Young Avengers show will actually be made. That's becuase the first episode of Marvel Zombies is centered around Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) and Riri Williams (Ironheart). I absolutely love these characters and the projects they have been in. When I mentioned not loving Black Panther 2, I failed to mention that the only parts I would want to see again are the scenes with Riri Williams. And Ms Marvel and Hawkeye were two of my favorite tv shows. In Fact, I plan to watch Hawkeye during every Christmas break for the foreseeable future.

Aside form loving the main characters, the first episode does a great job of setting the tone. This is NOT a children's show. It is a horror cartoon with tons of violence and deaths (and after-deaths). No character in the huge Marvel stable is safe from being killed or turned into a zombie. If you have a favorite that you hope succumb to the diseases, you can stop hoping now. the odds are not with you. It was also action packed.

Episode two is one of my favorites. It is hard to believe but Marvel Zombies is the first project Shang-Chi is in since his exciting stand alone movie. Including Shang-Chi means that we get to see Awkwafina rejoin the universe as well. I thoroughly enjoyed her portrayal of Shang-Chi's friend Katy Chen in the film and she brings that same humor to the cartoon. This entire episode has a more comedic tone (in-between the gruesome deaths) as Red Guardian and Yelena Belova get in on the action. But the most incredible character is definitely Blade Knight who is a combination of Blade and Moon Knight. I won't list any other characters and that would be too close to providing a spoiler. Suffice it to say that there is tons of action, gore and laughs in this episode.

As the series continues, more characters are added to the mix each episode. This time we get to see Spider-Man and his amazing friends Thor, Ant_man and Valkyrie leap into the action. Although. there is a lot of action for them to jump into, this episode provided a little more setup for the finale than the others. It tells a bit more of the story in-between the gory deaths of so many characters.

The finale blew me away. Not only are there some huge surprises with characters, it includes one of the biggest battles since Avengers:Endgame. It is fitting consider the Infinity Stones are the main McGuffin once again. even though the final episode is only 28 minutes long, it felt much longer as it was packed with action and a really cool plot setup.

Overall, when you. put together all four episodes, the result is an epic movie. For me, the four episodes combined ranks in the top ten of Marvel movies. Although I knew a little bit about the Zombies from the comic books, it was not necessary to have any background knowledge. thanks to excellent writing, anyone could jump in cold and thoroughly enjoy this story.

Only 4 episodes. I hadn't heard of that series before, but I'll write down the name so that when I'm finished with the work we're doing, I can sit down and enjoy them with my wife and make the most of our time together.

To be honest, reading your article has made me even more excited to watch the series. If there's so much action packed and emotional content in just four episodes, I think it's definitely a special gift for Marvel fans.

I watch marvel movies, but never gotten in the series, would you recommend this one? I read no hero is safe but when they die they get turned in zombies and fight against others or just die?

It was pretty brutal and nobody was safe. Definitely not for little kids. As with Thunderbolts* it assumed you were familiar with lots of characters and didn't focus so much on the big names. One for the real Marvel fans.

I need to catch up on the new Fantastic 4 next.

I have also seen zombie movies where they drink blood and all the scenes like that. These are very popular and very interesting movies. This series is also looking pretty good, so I'm trying to make time to watch it

Revealing the plot is a big step forward for those of us who aren't big fans of watching series, especially Marvel ones, but since it's animated, it might change my perspective. I'll try to find more information about the series and watch it with my husband in the near future.

I liked The Eternals, but I felt like Secret Invasion was just horribly paced. It was boring for me. I think the Falcon and Winter soldier was only slightly more tolerable than Secret Invasion. Which is sad because I really wanted to like Secret Invasion. I haven't seen any of the Marvel animated shows, so I need to get around and start digging into those.

I was shocked at how weak secret invasion was. Should have been sensational. I liked Falcon and Winter Soldier mainly because I like the characters and loved Zemo.

It was interesting to see the turn in the one lady character at the end. I wasn't expecting that. Personally, I loved agents of shield, but that was probably mostly for Chloe Bennet! Though Simmons was hot in that nerdy way!

I’ve been curious about Marvel Zombies, and now I really want to check it out. Sounds like it’s darker and more intense than usual Marvel shows , definitely something different for fans.
