Easter Holidays

Every parent knows that the holidays can be a daunting task to keep the kids busy when you still have to work yourself. I personally feel that adding some creativity into the mix of that week helps a lot to keep the child's mind at ease. With my daughter, you can't get it wrong if the activity is something creative, lucky me!

This means we are mainly painting eggs, painting canvasses as well as crafting Easter things this week. It's been a busy week as we went out a lot in the evenings and I'm honestly glad the weekend is very near now, as well as the regular school routine is close to being back.

We have personally not watched any Easter movies yet this week, but that will change today because I found a few Easter movies that you can watch with your kids if you're looking to do some binge-watching this weekend.

Hop (2011)

One of my personal favorite watches with the Easter Bunny must have been Hop (2011), and yes that means it's a bit of an older movie but I still gladly watch it even today, 12 years later so that means something. It's just another feel-good movie with E.B. (Easter Bunny) as the main character.

It's about E.B. wanting to become famous in the music industry while his father won't let him out of the family business. I mean, it's probably a story that some people can relate to when being expected to take over the family business, but in this case, it's the candy business. Of course, we need all this candy during Easter, so E.B.'s help is needed!

If you have not seen the movie yet, make sure to check it out, Russel Brand's voice is used for E.B. and you will see James Marsden as the main human character in this movie. As I said, it's a feel-good movie suitable for the whole family.

Peter Rabbit (2018) & Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (2021)

I think everyone knows Peter Rabbit from their childhood, and if not, well just check out this movie on Netflix during the Easter holidays. James Gordon is the voice of Peter Rabbit and from what I can remember the movie is fun for all ages. You can watch Peter Rabbit's first movie on Netflix today, so if you have a membership, you can watch it for free.

If you feel excited about Peter Rabbit after watching the first movie, you may be in luck if you are willing to stream it on another paid website because "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway" from 2021 is available if you're willing to pay for it. Here's the trailer:

I personally think the movie looks fun and will be a nice addition to the watchlist for this Easter weekend. You can watch it on Youtube when you click on the trailer above there's a box on the right to buy it:

I noticed it's also available on Google Play Movies, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV. Possibly even more, just give that a Google search if you're curious. In case you've seen it, make sure to let

The dog who saved Easter (2014)

And the last Easter movie suitable for the whole family that I want to share with you today is "The dog who saved Easter", a movie from 2014 that seems like a nice adventurous, and feel-good movie.

Let me know if you've seen any of these movies and if you have other recommendations, feel free to leave a comment below. I don't want to spoil too much here but Zeus the dog (voice by Mario Lopez) and his friends are trying to save a doggy daycare business from going out of business. The movie is a bit predictable but still a good choice to watch with the younger kids I'd say.

Happy Easter holidays!
