With its bulletproof suits, unique weapons and a new dimension of action, the John Wick series has created its own universe and offers great viewing pleasure for action movie addicts.
The latest of these, John Wick: Chapter 4 starts with Keanu Reeves' bloody fists and ends with his bloody gaze; I don't think I have revealed the story between the two actions! Lol...
After the revenge atmosphere, which was further ignited by the destruction of the Continental Hotels, the only solution turned into a well thought out and prepared duel, and my expectation of a decrease in action was only a few minutes of prejudice.
I must admit that there was a brief disappointment after the old rules came into play and the solution was found in the duel... but the last rule added (failure of one of the parties to show up at the appointed time) was the spark that ignited the action.
If I were to briefly summarize the movie by dividing it into two parts: before and after the duel, I think it would be enough to talk about the displacement of the action. The action scenes that take place indoors before the duel move to the open field with the decision to duel and time flies by with tremendous viewing pleasure.
I remember I didn't like Keanu Reeves' acting with the last Matrix movie and a few other productions he made. He was like a ghost looking forward to his retirement, but with the John Wick movies, I think he not only created a new universe for himself and for us, the audience, but also gave a new direction to the action genre.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is really a perfect movie with its visuals, fight scenes, music, weapons and locations. I recommend you to watch not only the last movie of the series but the whole series. You will be surprised and maybe you will not believe where the story that starts with the revenge of a dog will take you, but you will like it very much.
