There are many great films out there, but if I were stuck on a deserted island, I would want to be watching The Shawshank Redemption. This film is not only a great story, but it is also a lesson in hope and resilience. It is a film that I could watch over and over again and never get tired of.

As the years go by, Andy remains positive and hopeful, despite the harsh conditions of prison life. He ends up becoming the most respected inmate in Shawshank, and he is even able to help Red get parole.

► What you loved or hated about it.
The thing that I loved about this movie is that it shows how hope can still exist even in the darkest of places. The main character, Andy Dufresne, never gives up hope of getting out of prison, and this hope sustains him through the years.

This movie is a great reminder that no matter how dark and discouraging our circumstances may be, we should never give up hope. Because as long as we have hope, we have the strength to keep going.

► How it influenced you (and/or people around you).
I was first introduced to The Shawshank Redemption when I was going through a tough time in my life. I was struggling with depression and had lost all hope. But watching the movie and seeing the main character never give up despite all the odds stacked against him, inspired me to keep going. The Shawshank Redemption showed me that even in the darkest of times, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

► What part of it did you find most interesting.
One of the most interesting parts of the film is when Andy uses his knowledge of classical music to Calm a violent prisoner. This scene shows how Andy is able to take a difficult situation and use his intelligence to diffuses it. It's a powerful moment in the film that highlights Andy's resilience and fortitude.

► Any scene that still pops into your mind.
There are many scenes in The Shawshank Redemption movie that still pops into my mind. One of the most memorable scenes is when Andy Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins) uses a rock hammer to tunnel his way out of prison. This scene is particularly memorable because it shows how determined Andy is to escape from prison and start a new life.
