I don't think I have seen any Superman movies honestly. And what you wrote there in the beginning is so on point in terms of expectations of the public and pressure on film makers. I have watched good movies, read reviews that preach the birth of 'originality'. I wonder what exactly their expectations are in the world of film.

When we are effectively "connected" to a movie, it is natural to create expectations because we want to watch something that meets our desires. However, it is important to understand that as a product, a movie will always be just a movie (and as such, it will never be perfect).
