My impression of the film a good liar

Hello, community, I hope you are very well, today I want to tell you my impression of the movie, a good liar, which was released in 2019, the genre is drama and its central theme at the beginning seems to be the scam, I confess that my selection was mainly due to its main actors, which are Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, as their acting work I have always liked.

The film begins by touching on a very contemporary topic, such as online dating, and how unreliable people are when providing information about themselves on the pages where they are looking to have a relationship, in a way you can understand what this lack of honesty is due to since you never know who you might run into.

Hola, comunidad, espero que estén muy bien, hoy quiero contarles mi impresión sobre la película, un buen mentiroso, la cual fue estrenada en 2019, el género es el drama y su tema central al principio parece ser la estafa, confieso que mi selección se debió principalmente por sus actores principales, que son Helen Mirren y Ian McKellen, ya que su trabajo actoral siempre me han gustado.

El film comienza tocando un tema muy contemporáneo, como son las citas en línea, y lo poco confiable que son las personas al suministrar la información sobre ellos mismos en las páginas donde se busca tener una relación de pareja, en cierto modo se puede entender a que se debe esta falta de honestidad, ya que uno nunca sabe con quién se puede topar.

From the beginning, we get a glimpse of Roy Courtney's (McKellen) true intentions for wanting to have a relationship with Betty (Mirren), a wealthy widow who seems to be easy prey for this professional con man.

However, the plot takes an unexpected turn right in the middle of the film, and I must admit that I didn't like it at all because it was a different story from the one that had been developing, the only thing that kept me going until its outcome were the performances by Mrs. Mirren and McKellen, therefore their ending was not to my liking.

I believe that the film had great potential that they did not know how to take advantage of, since its initial theme addressed a very current problem, since there are numerous men and women of mature age who have been victims of scammers who have met on the internet, and they have posed as honorable people, and then take advantage of them.

However, I didn't come away entirely disappointed, as the performances by Hellen Mirren and Ian McKellen were once again exceptional.

Desde el principio nos van dejando entrever cuáles son las verdaderas intenciones que tiene Roy Courtnay (McKellen) para desear tener una relación con Betty (Mirren) quien es una viuda adinerada y a todas luces parece ser una presa fácil para este timador profesional.

Sin embargo, la trama da un giro inesperado justo a la mitad de la película, y debo admitir que no me gusto para nada, pues era una historia totalmente distinta a la que se venía desarrollando, lo único que logro mantenerme hasta su desenlace fueron las actuaciones de la señora Mirren y McKellen, por consiguiente su final no fue de mi agrado.

Considero que la película tenía un gran potencial que no supieron explotar, pues su tema inicial abordaba una problemática de mucha vigencia, ya que existen un gran número de hombres y mujeres en edad madura que han sido víctima de estafadores que han conocido en el internet y se han hecho pasar por personas honorables, para luego aprovecharse de ellas.

Sin embargo, no salí del todo decepcionada pues las actuaciones de Hellen Mirren y de Ian McKelllen fueron nuevamente excepcionales.
