How far can we go in doing evil... I think as far as infinity.

As for the fate of the researchers who took part in those atrocities, it was a fate shared by most of the doctors, psychiatrists, anthropologists... Nazis.

As for the contradictions you point out in the film... They are further proof of the limits that can be crossed, even when defending noble causes.
