Good day amazing people, and the cineTV community. Firstly I would like to wish all the amazing mothers out there a "Happy Mother's Day" On sunday which was mothers day, I said to my mother "You have done an amazing thing for bringing me into this world and I would make sure to be an amazing son you can be proud of.

Anyways, this blog isn't about me, it's about the Cinetv movie contest, and to celebrate the Mother's day, we were asked to write a review based on a film which we can see the struggle and love of a mother. The truth was, I was waiting for someone to write something about it first so I could pick up an idea from it, but then, I remembered a film I had watched and it was just three characters in the beginning of the film till it was almost the ending. I remember this film while searching for films I had watched and this was my pick.

From the image, you would understand that the film was showing the struggle of a mother.

Now I am not gonna write this like a normal review, but I am going to show you why this film is the perfect pick for the contest.

Bird Box is a film that showcases the unyielding strength and love of a mother, Malorie. In a world where you have to teach your children that to stay blind is the only way to survive.

The family of four, a father, mother, and two kids, where in a world where they had to keep their eyes closed always if not, or they would encounter something that would tamper with their brains and they would end up killing themselves. After they heard there was a place that was safe for them to raise their children without the fear of covering their eyes, they took the chance.

The film started with a pregnant woman who went to the hospital, after getting her result, the pandemic started and she had to hid in another house with lots of people and another pregnant woman. She and the pregnant woman gave birth but the other lady was exposed to the virus and she killed herself.

With the two new babies with her, she had to take care of them and as time went on, they got seperated from the other people and that was how she ended up with the man who took care of her and her child from the day they were born.

One thing I love about the film was how dedicated the mother was to keep the children way from the virus or spirit that's killing people.

Her continuious training, instructions and statics to help the children navigate the world they were born into.

The time they were in a boat and the boy fell into the river, she had to jump into the water to save him with her eyes covered. Just to many sacrifices.

One thing I love the film because it shows a mother love, even at the face of death, her resilent spirit helped her overcome the fear of losing her children and in the end she was able to get them to safety.

Many mothers are like that, they are ready to loose their hand for the safety of their children and they wouldn't mind going any length to keep their children safe. This is what Bird Box film is all about.

This film is a 9.5/10 and I would recommend it for anyone anyday. If you want to watch a thrilling movie with your family on a sunday night, then this is the perfect pick for you.

Thanks for reading, My name is fashtioluwa.

This movie was what I call a peak masterpiece

avatar

Yeah
It was peak
Till date
We have no explanation of what’s killing them

The fact we have no idea of what is killing them even made it more scary for me.

Honestly this movie kept me on my seat. It was intense for me. Seeing the woman’s struggle to keep her family safe was so emotional for me.

Yeah, It was emotional especially when she with her eyes closed and she still had to protect them

Greetings 🤗 is an interesting choice. I think a lot behind the symbolism of the film has to do in how a mother is to a son, his eyes and his guide.
