Same here, when the movie was released I was completely unaware about the author and the connection with Jumanji.

Jumanji happens to be one of my fav movie in adventure genre..
God I miss Robbie Williams 😕

Robin Williams was a genius, truly. His performance and role in Jumanji gave more weight and development to the main character, which is incredible to think is based on a children's story. 🥴

Zathura has that feeling when you see its story and the way its characters are developed. It also has many similarities, only it's more geared towards the science fiction genre. This last point, for me, is what makes it a spectacular adaptation.
