I totally agree with you! "Sinners" is one of those movies that pleasantly surprises you. I felt the same way about the trailer; it didn't do it justice, right? But once you get into it, wow! And yes, Michael B. Jordan is so good! He commands the screen, you believe everything. The cinematography is amazing, every shot is worth framing, what a visual beauty! The ending also left me with my heart in my mouth, although as you say, I could smell something. And Sammie's lesson—about fighting for what you love but accepting the consequences—is very powerful. And thanks for reminding me about the post-credits scenes! I almost missed them the first time. Great review! Made me want to see it again.
