So I gladly leave you my opinion about "Pearl Harbor" from 2001.

This film was directed by Michael Bay, and has a great cast of actors very well known nowadays like: Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Alec Baldwin in the leading roles.

The film is a war drama with a very emotional plot, which grips us with its story about courage, romance, passion and friendship.
The story takes place in the year 1941, when the 2nd World War was developing in Europe and narrates the real event of the attack by the Japanese aircraft to the Pearl Harbor base, where the U.S. Pacific naval fleet was located. An event that had great consequences in the later development of the war. It also deals with the so-called "Doolittle Raid" that took place four months after the attack, as a response to what happened, which was one of the greatest feats of American aviation.

Movies based on real events attract me a lot, and even more so if it is a story as overwhelming and emotional as the one narrated in this film.
The story seems to be taken from an epic movie, and the events of Pearl Harbor are so full of action, patriotism, loyalty and courage, that they could be the plot of any fiction movie. So the fact that they are real makes it even more shocking.

In addition to describing what really happened, the film tells a captivating story, since in the midst of war and all the anguish it causes, there is also love, which is what drives its protagonists to fight and cling to hope in the most difficult moments.

The film tells the story of pilots Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and Daniel Walker (Josh Hartnett) who not only share a great friendship since childhood, but also a love for a beautiful woman, nurse Evelyn Johnson (Kate Beckinsale).

War often separates people who love each other and that is what happens to Evelyn and Rafe, who see their love story separated when Rafe, who is a fighter pilot, is assigned to an important mission.

Most of the film takes place in Pearl Harbor, (in fact, the film was shot in Hawai). Rafe's squadron, which also included his best friend Danny, along with a group of nurses including Evelyn, were transported to the site, where they would experience the most harrowing moments of their lives.
The film takes a surprising turn when Rafe, who was presumed dead, returns to Pearl Harbor, finding to his surprise that Evelyn and Danny had fallen in love.
This increases the dramatic and sentimental charge, where at the same time of this tragic love story, the surprise attack on the naval base takes place, which makes this event the main priority.

And this was what attracted me most to the film: the heroism and patriotism of these soldiers who did not hesitate to give their lives in defense of the place, showing great courage.
What impressed me the most because of the emotion it transmitted, were the scenes of the bombing, which felt absolutely real and overwhelming, through the images on the screen you could feel the anguish and despair of the moment.
All this was achieved with incredible visual effects that reflected very well all the horror that those who were there must have felt. And that give us an idea of how these events must have unfolded.

Many of the stories of heroism and characters in this film are based on the real heroes of Pearl Harbor such as:

Lieutenants George Welch and Kenneth Taylor, the pilots played by Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett, who showed great courage in facing the outnumbered enemy planes, managing to shoot down six of them.

The kitchen assistant Doris Miller character played by the fantastic actor Cuba Gooding Jr. who, without any military training, occupied one of the turrets of the battleship where he was, shooting down two enemy planes.

And one cannot fail to mention the character played by the veteran and excellent actor Alec Baldwin, who represents the then Lieutenant Colonel James H. Dolittle who leads the sixteen American planes that were sent to Tokyo to bomb their industrial targets. An unforgettable feat that has been engraved in U.S. history.

And it is with this last act of heroism, which once again shows the mettle and courage of the American airmen, the film's final denouement unfolds.

Despite being a rather long film, I did not find it boring at any time, as it maintains the excitement and expectation until the end.

A film full of passions, where love, friendship and courage are its fundamental values.
A film that despite narrating events that are quite distant in the past, does not fail to impress and move us as it shows that it is in the most difficult moments that true heroes are forged.💪❤️

Aprovecho para invitar a mi amiga @chacald.dcymt ya que estoy segura que le va a gustar mucho el tema de esta semana.
En el concurso anterior no pude participar, ya que se me pasó el plazo.
Pero cuando leí el concurso de esta semana me alegré mucho porque aún podía escribir sobre el filme que tenía en mente la semana pasada ya que está basado en hechos que ocurrieron en realidad.

Así que con mucho gusto les dejo mi opinión acerca de "Pearl Harbor” del año 2001.

Este filme fue dirigido por Michael Bay, y tiene un gran reparto de actores muy reconocidos en la actualidad como: Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding Jr. y Alec Baldwin en los roles protagónicos.

La película es un drama bélico con una trama muy emotiva, que nos atrapa con su historia sobre el valor, el romance, la pasión y la amistad.
La historia transcurre en el año 1941, cuando se desarrollaba en Europa la 2da Guerra Mundial y narra el hecho real del Ataque por parte de la aviación japonesa a la base de Pearl Harbor, donde se encontraba la flota naval del Pacífico de los EUA. Un hecho que tuvo grandes consecuencias en el posterior desarrollo de la guerra. También aborda la llamada "Incursión Doolittle" que se llevó a cabo cuatro meses después del ataque, como respuesta a lo sucedido, la cual fue una de las mayores hazañas de la aviación norteamericana.

Las películas basadas en hechos reales me atraen mucho, y más aún si es una historia tan sobrecogedora y emotiva como la que se narra en este filme. La historia parece sacada de una película épica, y es que los hechos de Pearl Harbor están tan cargados de acción, patriotismo, lealtad y coraje, que bien podrían ser el argumento de cualquier película de ficción. Por lo que el hecho de que sean reales la hace aún más impactante.

Además de describir lo que pasó realmente, la película narra una historia cautivadora, ya que en medio de la guerra y de toda la angustia que ésta provoca, también se encuentra al amor, que es lo que impulsa a sus protagonistas a luchar y aferrarse a la esperanza en los momentos más difíciles.

El filme narra la historia de los pilotos Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) y Daniel Walker (Josh Hartnett) quienes no sólo comparten una gran amistad desde su infancia, sino también el amor por una bella mujer, la enfermera Evelyn Johnson (Kate Beckinsale).

La guerra muchas veces separa a las personas que se quieren y es lo que les sucede a Evelyn y Rafe, que ven separada su historia de amor cuando a Rafe que es piloto de combate, le asignan una importante misión.

La mayor parte del filme transcurre en Pearl Harbor, (de hecho, la película se filmó en Hawái). El escuadrón de Rafe, donde se encontraba también su mejor amigo Danny, junto con un grupo de enfermeras entre las que estaba Evelyn fueron trasladados a este sitio, en donde vivirían los momentos más estremecedores de sus vidas.
La película da un sorprendente giro cuando Rafe el cual se daba por muerto regresa a Pearl Harbor, encontrándose con la sorpresa de que Evelyn y Danny se habían enamorado. Aumentando con esto la carga dramática y sentimental, donde a la par de esta trágica historia de amor, transcurre el sorpresivo ataque a la base naval lo que hace de este hecho la prioridad principal.

Y esto fue lo que más me atrajo del filme: El heroísmo y patriotismo de estos soldados que no dudaron en dar sus vidas en defensa del lugar, dando muestras de gran valor.
Lo que más me impresionó por la emoción que me transmitió, fueron las escenas del bombardeo, las que se sentían absolutamente reales y sobrecogedoras, mediante las imágenes en la pantalla se podía sentir la angustia y la desesperación del momento.
Todo esto logrado con unos increíbles efectos visuales que reflejaban muy bien todo el horror que debieron sentir los que se encontraban allí. Y que nos dan una idea de cómo debieron haberse desarrollado estos hechos.

Muchas de las historias de heroísmo y de los personajes de esta película están basados en los héroes reales de Pearl Harbor como son:

Los tenientes George Welch y Kenneth Taylor, los pilotos interpretados por Ben Affleck y Josh Hartnett, los cuales dieron muestras de su gran valor al enfrentarse a los aviones enemigos que los superaban en número, logrando derribar a seis de ellos.

El ayudante de cocina Doris Miller personaje que interpreta el fantástico actor Cuba Gooding Jr. El cual sin tener ningún entrenamiento militar ocupó una de las torretas del acorazado donde se encontraba, derrumbando a dos aviones enemigos.

Y no se puede dejar de mencionar el personaje interpretado por el veterano y excelente actor Alec Baldwin, que representa al entonces teniente coronel James H. Dolittle el cual lidera a los dieciséis aviones estadounidenses que fueron enviados a Tokio a bombardear sus objetivos industriales. Una inolvidable hazaña que ha quedado grabada en la historia de los EUA.

Y con este último acto de heroísmo donde se muestra una vez más el temple y el valor de los aviadores estadounidenses es que se desarrolla el desenlace final de la película.

A pesar de ser una película bastante extensa, en ningún momento me pareció aburrida, ya que mantiene la emoción y la expectación hasta el final.

Un filme cargado de pasiones, donde el amor la amistad y el coraje son sus valores fundamentales.
Un filme que a pesar de narrar hechos que están bastante alejados en el pasado no dejan de impresionar y conmover ya que nos muestra que en los momentos más difíciles es que se forjan los verdaderos héroes.💪❤️
