The Mandalorian Season 3 Plot Holes

It's been a long time since we have seen an epic Star Wars rendition as great as the Mandalorian and it still continues to give us an inside view of the expanded Star Wars Universe like never before.

Like many, it has been one of my personal favorite sagas in the modern Star Wars world, Return of the Jedi remains my all time fav Star Wars film but it could be due to my age and fond childhood memories around the film.

Star Wars has been a cult classic since its early debut and a franchise that continues to captivate audiences new and old and a good example on how to do films that go beyond trilogies. Although the story lines do at time get boring and repetative but if you're on a good thing why try harder?

The Mandalorian Delivers

And that is where the Mandalorian delivers, while the main Star Wars Arch repeats empire, republic, rebels and some form of a death star and shiney light saber fights. The Mandalorian provides a new insight on an old saga and takes place in the aftermath of the Empire's collapse after the rebels won and Luke Skywalker is still a youngish Jedi and probably the most powerful being in the universe.

A long way prior to Star Wars the force awakens with Rey, Kylo and a branch of new characters which are similar to the original trilogy characters just with family ties and powered down light sabers which can now strike people and not cut them....

Lore

So there are a few things around The Mandalorian that have broken away from the traditional Star Wars themes like the fact that there aren't many light saber battles and I can't help but feel the franchise throws a light saber battle into the mix once things take a little dip.

My eyes always light up like a kid in a candy shop, it's also what has been so attractive in Ben Kenobe saga and who can forget that epic final of Darth Vadar and Obi Wan smashing it out on a distent planet.

Although they almost stuffed it up because Obi Wan should be at his strongest in his franchise as he had literally just sliced up Vadar and they don't meet again until years later on Tattooine.

One Sword to Rule them all

Now this Star Wars Lore discussion is where I want to provide the largest plot hole that renders season 3 of The Mandalorian completely irrational and makes no sense other than to fill screen time.

As the Mandalorian Lore states he who holds the Dark Saber leads The Mandalorians and decides the creed so it makes absolutely no sense why our favorite Mandalorian must travel to Mandalor to bath in the waters to redeem himself as a Mandalorian, when by creed he makes the rules!

He could simply wield his sword and power and remove it or just make himself a Mandorian again. However, if he did that then we wouldn't get the back story and further character development they we are getting.

Arghhhhh... plot holes!

What are your thoughts?
