CineTV Contest: Batman: The Animated Series [ESP|ENG]

Nuevamente participando en los concursos semanales de CineTV en dónde justamente en esta oportunidad debemos realizar una publicación sobre nuestro Favorito film o TV Show de Batman; esto para mí es perfecto porque tengo mucha admiración por este personaje, por su inevitable y enfocada manera de hacer justicia y de como creo un disfraz perfecto para filtrarse en la sociedad mientras su verdadero rostro es lo que ven los delincuentes al caer frente al Caballero de la Noche.

Once again participating in CineTV's weekly contests where this time we must make a publication about our Favorite Batman film or TV Show; this is perfect for me because I have great admiration for this character, for his inevitable and focused way of doing justice and how he created a perfect disguise to filter into society while his true face is what criminals see when they fall in front of the Dark Knight.

Desde mi niñez he visto un gran número de versiones de Batman; el TV Show de los 60' el cual siempre me gustaba ver el Batimóvil, la Baticueva y algún otro artefacto que usaba este gran héroe, también las peleas y con el tiempo aprendí a disfrutar el tiempo de pantalla que tenían Gatúbela y Batgirl; ahora esta serie ni de cerca era mi favorita porque nunca pude conectar con la representación de Batman, no sé si era el disfraz que justamente se notaba como tal y es que Batman no parecía un héroe, Batman parecía a alguien que justamente se disfrazó de Batman, eso nunca me hizo disfrutar por completo esa serie y también me hizo no disfrutar las versiones de series animadas como por ejemplo en "Superamigos" en dónde se veía a un personaje más detectivesco, pero con nula acción y sumamente aburrido. Todas esas versiones del justiciero de Ghotam quedaron atrás después de ver los dos films dirigidos por Tim Burton en 1989 y 1992; un Batman el cual fue pionero de muchos otros films basados sobre héroes de comics, pero en esta oportunidad no me refiero a esos dos grandes films, quiero referirme a una producción que surgió gracias a ese éxito y que en mi opinión le hizo más justicia al personaje; me refiero a un verdadero clásico animado, "Batman: The Animated Series".

Since my childhood I have seen a great number of versions of Batman; the TV Show of the 60's which I always liked to see the Batmobile, the Batcave and some other artifact that this great hero used, also the fights and with time I learned to enjoy the screen time that Catwoman and Batgirl had; Now this series was not even close to being my favorite because I could never connect with the representation of Batman, I don't know if it was the costume that was justly noticed as such and Batman didn't look like a hero, Batman looked like someone who just dressed up as Batman, that never made me fully enjoy that series and also made me not enjoy the animated series versions as for example in "Superfriends" where you could see a more detective character, but with no action and extremely boring. All those versions of the Ghotam's vigilante were left behind after seeing the two films directed by Tim Burton in 1989 and 1992; a Batman which was the pioneer of many other films based on comic book heroes, but in this opportunity I am not referring to those two great films, I want to refer to a production that came out thanks to that success and that in my opinion did more justice to the character; I am referring to a true animated classic, "Batman: The Animated Series".

Trato de recordar el año en que esta serie animada fue estrenada en Venezuela y creo que corresponde a los meses finales del año 1993 después de que se estrenó "Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm" la cual se estrenó en ese mismo año y de manera inmediata se convirtió en mi favorita, ya que al existir un vacío entre el segundo y tercer film de Batman, sentí que la serie animada era la perfecta continuación para la versión cinematográfica de Batman. Como dije anteriormente, los artefactos que usa Batman me parecen geniales, son tan icónicos como el personaje en sí y en esta oportunidad de igual manera lo seguían siendo; por ejemplo la Baticueva la cual poco a poco estaba llena de trofeos y de otros trajes usados por este héroe o vigilante de ciudad gótica; también como el diseño del Batimóvil el cual era parecido al visto en el film, pero muy apegado al diseño que se había impuesto en esta producción y que encontré genial porque daba la sensación de estar en una época entre los 50' y lo actual (actual en 1992), recuerdo que Batman a ser considerado como uno de los mejores detectives del mundo, ese diseño y de como se manejaba una ciudad llena de criminales era algo perfecto.

I try to remember the year when this animated series was released in Venezuela and I think it corresponds to the final months of 1993 after the release of "Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm" which was released in the same year and immediately became my favorite, since there was a gap between the second and third Batman film, I felt that the animated series was the perfect continuation for the film version of Batman. As I said before, the artifacts that Batman uses seem great to me, they are as iconic as the character himself and in this opportunity they were equally so; for example the Batcave which little by little was full of trophies and other costumes used by this hero or Gotham City vigilante; also like the design of the Batmobile which was similar to the one seen in the film, but very attached to the design that had been imposed in this production and that I found great because it gave the feeling of being in a time between the 50' and the present (current in 1992), I remember that Batman to be considered as one of the best detectives in the world, that design and how to handle a city full of criminals was something perfect.

Otro tipo de diseño fue el seleccionado para cada personaje, creo que la influencia de Humphrey Bogart en el film "Casablanca" era algo evidente en como debería verse "Bruce Wayne", en lo personal siempre me pareció igual, así como por momentos a "James Bond", ya que debería demostrar ese temple de casanova, hombría, fuerza, no era débil ni cobarde aunque si sentimental, porque al no tener la máscara de Batman se le permitía demostrar vulnerabilidad; cosa contraria usando el traje del Caballero de la Noche; en mi opinión uno de los mejores, ese tono gris, con la capa en dónde existía tonos de azul oscuro y negro, es perfecta, es un buen diseño para el traje de Batman. Lo otro sorprendente y lo que debe ser primordial es la calidad de como se relata las historias de los muchos personajes que aparecen en ese show y me refiero a nada más y nada menos que al conocido "Rogues Gallery"; recuerdo el desarrollo de cada personaje antes y después de convertirse en un villano de este héroe y fue genial, único; me gustó como se profundizó en ese relato, dando drama y significado a cada uno de esos personajes, eso le dio un gran valor a ese show y creo que eso no se ha visto en otras series basadas en Batman u otro héroe.

Another type of design was selected for each character, I think the influence of Humphrey Bogart in the film "Casablanca" was something evident in how "Bruce Wayne" should look, personally I always looked the same, as well as at times to "James Bond", as it should demonstrate that temper of Casanova, manhood, strength, was not weak or cowardly but if sentimental, because not having the mask of Batman allowed him to demonstrate vulnerability; The opposite using the costume of the Dark Knight; in my opinion one of the best, that gray tone, with the cape where there were shades of dark blue and black, is perfect, it is a good design for the Batman costume. The other amazing thing and what should be paramount is the quality of how the stories of the many characters that appear in that show are told and I refer to nothing more and nothing less than the well known "Rogues Gallery"; I remember the development of each character before and after becoming a villain of this hero and it was great, unique; I liked how that story was deepened, giving drama and meaning to each of those characters, that gave a great value to that show and I think that has not been seen in other series based on Batman or another hero.

Esta serie animada basada en Batman fue perfecta, tuvo emoción, comedia, drama, aventura y acción; una historia bastante completa que para alguien como yo que de niño no tuvo mucho contacto con los comics pude entender mucho mejor no solo a ese personaje sino a los demás y eso fue lo genial de esta producción; el tiempo que se tomaron para crear un mundo o lugar donde se lleva a cabo esa lucha entre el bien y el mal y que son personas con mentalidades rotas quienes deciden que está bien y que está mal fue muy bueno, esta serie junto a las demás y que terminó en "Batman Beyond", fueron lo que más me hizo ser un fan de Batman y es que esa base creada por los films de Burton sirvieron para que está serie callera de mejor manera en un grupo de personas que quería ver algo diferente y que muy poco se puede ver nuevamente; creo que la serie "Young Justice" es un buen complemento así como lo fue las otras series basadas en "Justice League", pero no hay duda que ninguna de las series nombrada no hubieran funcionado sin la existencia de Batman: The Animated Series.

This animated series based on Batman was perfect, it had emotion, comedy, drama, adventure and action; a very complete story that for someone like me who as a child did not have much contact with comics I could understand much better not only that character but the others and that was the great thing about this production; the time they took to create a world or place where the fight between good and evil takes place and that it is people with broken mentalities who decide what is right and what is wrong was very good, this series along with the others and that ended in "Batman Beyond", were what made me become a fan of Batman and that base created by the films of Burton served for this series to fall in a better way in a group of people who wanted to see something different and that very little can be seen again; I think that the "Young Justice" series is a good complement as well as the other series based on "Justice League", but there is no doubt that none of the series mentioned above would have worked without the existence of Batman: The Animated Series.
