Below I bring you my latest analysis on a very popular movie, considered even as a classic film. That's right, we are talking about Inception.
This movie directed by christopher Nolan is a film full of symbolism and secrets. In my opinion, all this complexity can be enriched much more with psychological analysis. So that's why I decided to write this blog today to discuss the psychological vision of the plot.

Les traigo mi último análisis sobre una película muy popular. Así es, estamos hablando de Inception. Esta película dirigida por christopher Nolan es una cinta llena de simbolismos y secretos.
En mi opinión, toda esta complejidad puede enriquecerse mucho más con análisis psicológicos. Así que es por eso que decidí escribir este blog hoy para discutir la visión psicológica de la trama.

The very premise focuses on the depths of the human subconscious and trying to extract certain memories or save some lost souls to totally change the final outcome.
The dream underworld begins to reveal itself when the characters begin to experience various layers of weightlessness between reality and the subconscious.
These layers are fundamental to reflect psychoanalytic conceptions applied to the dramaturgy of cinematic storytelling.

La mismísima premisa se centra en las profundidades del subconsciente humano e intentar extraer determinados recuerdos o salvar algunas almas perdidas para cambiar totalmente el resultado final. El submundo del sueño comienza a revelarse cuando los personajes empiezan a experimentar varias capas de ingravidez entre realidad y subconsciente. Estas capas son fundamentales para reflejar concepciones psicoanaliticas aplicadas a la dramaturgia de la narración cinemática.

In general it should be noted that I am not an expert on the subject of psychology, but it is a subject that I am passionate enough about to want to do some research on it, and I would like to experiment a bit with a new writing format.
As a brief summary we can say that the film tells us about human thought, about the vast world of the mind and how we perceive reality.
Let's delve into this and see what Inception teaches us about our mind.

En general cabe destacar que no soy experto en el tema de la psicología, pero es un tema que me apasiona lo suficiente como para querer investigar sobre él, y me gustaría experimentar un poco con un nuevo formato de redacción.
Como resumen: la película nos habla sobre el pensamiento humano, el basto mundo de la mente y cómo percibimos la realidad. Vamos a profundizar en esto y ver qué nos enseña Inception sobre nuestra mente.

Point 1: Identity
The search for identity is the central theme of Inception. The film progresses as Dom Cobb seeks to reconcile his memories and his painful past. At the same time, it offers examples of the chaotic work that dissociations do when there are internal conflicts that need to be resolved. Each character constructs a realm from which to approach their conflicts and attempt to overcome them in order to clearly formulate their self-identity.

Punto 1: Identidad
La búsqueda de identidad es el tema central de Inception. La película avanza mientras Dom Cobb busca reconciliar sus recuerdos y su pasado doloroso. Al mismo tiempo, ofrece ejemplos del trabajo caótico que realizan las disociaciones cuando hay conflictos internos que necesitan ser resueltos. Cada personaje construye un reino desde el cual abordar sus conflictos e intentan superarlos para formular claramente su identidad propia.

Point 2: Repressed Desires
Cobb not only tries to find answers about his past motivations; he also addresses the repressed desires that have been presented to him throughout his life without fulfillment. This leads to situations such as scenes in which he makes wrong decisions based on greed or lack of confidence , demonstrating how repressed desires can negatively affect us if we do not recognize them.
To quote Freud the properly unconscious repressed desires are the true unconscious desires to which the producing energy of dreams, delusions, normal thought, reflection, recollection and poetry must be attributed.

Punto 2: Los deseos reprimidos
Cobb no sólo intenta encontrar respuestas acerca de sus motivaciones pasadas; también aborda los deseos reprimidos que se le han presentado durante toda su vida sin cumplirlo . Esto lleva a situaciones como escenas en las que toma decisiones equivocadas basadas en la codicia o falta de confianza , demostrando cómo los deseos reprimidos pueden afectarnos negativamente a nosotros si no los reconocemos.
Citando a Freud los deseos propiamente inconscientes reprimidos son los verdaderos deseos inconscientes a los que se les tiene que atribuir la energía productora de los sueños, los delirios, el pensamiento normal, la reflexión, el recuerdo y la poesía.

Point 3: Phases of lucid dreaming
In the final part of the film, Cobb uses lucid dreaming inconsistently using various eccentricities to alter the subconscious while remaining conscious at the same time so that he can defend himself or even attack himself where he wants. Thus showing us how with good control of the dream we can exist within our inner world without being tortured by it.

Punto 3 : Fases del sueño lúcido
En la parte final de la película, Cobb usa el sueño lúcido inconsistentemente utilizando varias excentriciones para alterar el subconsciente manteniendose consciente al mismo tiempo y asi poder defenderse o incluso atacarse donde quiere. Mostrándonnos así como con buen control del sueño podemos existir dentro nuestro mundo interior sin ser torturados por él.

Me agrado mucho su análisis de este film; en mi opinión encaja sobre la teoría de que el trabajo de implementar una idea no es sobre el personaje interpretado por Murphy sino el que interpreta DiCaprio, ya que en su mente existía la idea que era perseguido por la ley Norteamericana y empresarios por el trabajo que hacía de extraer ideas,planes de los sueños.
Inception es una completa genialidad en varios aspectos, el relato, la manera de dirigir de Nolan, la creación de diferentes sueños y sus capas, es algo que siempre me ha gustado y lo mejor es esto, las interpretaciones que seguirá teniendo por mucho tiempo o hasta que un día el mismo Nolan decida explicar su creación.
