I've also seen this movie many years after its release.

I have found it to be incredibly cheesy and stereotyped but ultimately it still managed to build up to some amazing and emotional moments.

I agree with you when you say that were some nice moments of humor, for sure!

Viggo's performance and characters were amazing but obviously both leads did really well.

I don't know if it was the more worthy movie to get those awards but it is definetely an outstanding one.
