I really liked the 1st season even though I don't really remember all that much and still plan on binge watching the 2nd season probably somewhere this month.

You should definitely watch a Season 1 recap first. It'll help everything in Season 2 click better. If you enjoyed the first season, you'll totally adore this one! The opening three episodes start slow, but things really pick up by episode 3

Thanks for the advice, I always watch recaps when a new season starts and it's good to know not to have too high expectations on the first 3 episodes.
