Was Season 2 better? I’d say not quite. But it’s a different kind of storytelling less impact upfront, more long game.
I was a bit sad they cut the dog scene at the aquarium. I get it’s Hollywood, and they don’t wanna trigger people. But those morally gray moments are crucial to understanding how far Ellie’s gone.

As I once read, it seems to be an unwritten rule in Hollywood not to harm animals in films, which is why they supposedly removed that part. Time will tell if the combination of this season and the next will make a good complement and be a positive thing.
