Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algo que me llena bastante de emoción. Algunas personas por aquí saben que vivo en un sitio bastante privilegiado porque tengo varios centros comerciales y sitios para comer rico muy cerca de mi apartamento, y tengo un centro comercial bastante popular en mi misma cuadra que tiene unas salas de cine.

Antes de la pandemia, cualquier tarde que tenía disponible simplemente me estaba caminando y me llegaba al centro comercial y me iba al cine, sola y feliz. Luego llegó la pandemia y la sala tuvo que cerrar irremediablemente, fue uno de los tantos negocios que quebraron por motivo de la pandemia. Así que las veces que fui al cine durante estos tres años fue en el centro comercial Sambil que me queda un poco más retirado (a 5 minutos en carro), aunque igual era cerca, siempre era cuestión de que tenía que pedir un servicio de taxi para poder ir y venir.

A principios de año me enteré que en el pasado mes de diciembre inauguraron una nueva cadena de cines en el centro comercial que está más cerca de mi casa y esto obviamente me alegró muchísimo, y aunque quise ir durante todo el mes, no tenía como y aprovechamos el día de ayer de ir en familia en conmemoración del cumpleaños de mi sobrino.

Así pues, me decidí a conocer el mencionado cine. Me encantó todo, y aunque ya conocía la distribución de las salas y las ventas de golosinas porque había ido a este cine desde que era una niña, cambiaron toda la decoración. Ahora tienen un estilo de nave espacial. Otra cosa que también cambiaron fueron las butacas, ahora son más nuevas, cómodas y hay mayor espacio para estirar las piernas.

Estoy realmente emocionada porque ya sé que en cualquier momento podré estar dando una vuelta como es mi costumbre y que simplemente me provoque entrar al cine a ver cualquier cosa sola. En esta oportunidad aproveché de ver Avatar en 3D con una pantalla IMAX que me hizo apreciar la película de una manera mejor de lo que podría hacer en casa. Definitivamente, volveré.

Today I want to share with you something that fills me with a lot of excitement. Some people around here know that I live in a very privileged place because I have several malls and places to eat very close to my apartment, and I have a very popular mall in my same block that has some movie theaters.

Before the pandemic, any afternoon I had available I would just walk to the mall and go to the movies, alone and happy. Then came the pandemic and the theater had to close down, it was one of the many businesses that went bankrupt because of the pandemic. So the times I went to the movies during these three years was in the Sambil mall which is a little further away (5 minutes by car), although it was still close, it was always a matter of having to ask for a cab service to come and go.

At the beginning of the year I found out that last December they opened a new chain of cinemas in the mall that is closer to my house and this obviously made me very happy, and although I wanted to go during the whole month, I had no way and we took advantage of yesterday to go as a family in commemoration of my nephew's birthday.

So, I decided to visit the aforementioned cinema. I loved everything, and although I already knew the layout of the rooms and the candy sales because I had been going to this movie theater since I was a little girl, they changed the whole decoration. Now they have a spaceship style. Another thing they also changed was the seats, now they are newer, more comfortable and there is more room to stretch your legs.

I am really excited because I know that at any moment I will be able to go for a walk as I usually do and just go into the movie theater to see anything alone. This time I took the opportunity to see Avatar in 3D with an IMAX screen which made me appreciate the movie in a better way than I could do at home. I will definitely be back.
