Anna Nicole Smith

I have to be honest, I didn't know any more about Anna Nicole Smith than what I ever read in the tabloids. Heck, I even have to admit that when I read about her marrying this very old guy, I judged her for being a golddigger. But hey, don't judge me for it, I read this when I was in my teens. This was also something happening in the past at the time as I was just 10 years old when they got married and I doubt that I was reading tabloids at that age.

Tragic stories

Later in life, I learned that a lot of these famous women who have been playmates and thrive from their appearance mostly have tragic life stories. Therefore, whenever I see a documentary pop up about one of these icons, I'm curious enough to find out what their story is (even though there's probably much more to the story than shown in the documentary). The last one of these stories I saw was the one about Pamela Anderson, which was a good watch as well IMO.

Anna Nicole's story

I was intrigued from the moment that you see Anna say that she advises people to "Follow their dreams, they can come true, I'm living proof" at the start of the trailer. If you're one to pay attention to body language, you see her face change once she said it. She realizes something and the smile disappears. She probably learned to laugh away her sorrows and smile for the camera, but in some moments, like that one just mentioned, the subconscious reminds you of the truth.

My take on the story

Although I don't want to spoil the documentary's contents for you, I will just say that I could see her billionaire husband loved her truly. This man adored her and he also said that he wanted to give her a better life than she had before. I've also seen the Playboy documentary a while ago and it became clear to me that that mansion had a lot of secrets and I suspect her being one of the playmates of the year, part of her tragic story took place in that mansion.

Maybe she just wanted to be loved by an older man instead of being seen as an object like Hugh Heffner probably did. I saw that the drugs took over Anna Nicole at some point and that she started to act like the golddigger she was accused of being, which was sad, but I do believe she cared about this man. Anna was a broken soul, and it's a tragic story to watch.

If you're curious about her full story, I recommend you watch it on Netflix.

I didn't know anything about her until I read your post, how many tragic stories stars and celebrities hide. Thank you for sharing, thank you very much @thisismylife !❤️

I admit that it was the same for me, I only saw her appear in gossip magazines and read some of the gossip, of course not portraying her very well. But as so many celebs have big stories behind what's been shown to the public by media, I'm usually very curious to watch these documentaries. But yeah, it's sad :(

Thank you for stopping by <3
