My Favorite TV Program

I have been watching The Good Doctor on Netflix for a while now during the weekends or holidays. Movies help me relax. I love to watch movies about Medicine. Maybe it’s because I desperately wanted to be a Doctor when I was young or because I grew up in a hospital environment, because my mom worked at the hospital, so we had an apartment in the staff quarters, whatever the case, I just love movies about doctors the few I have seen are Dr House, Grey’s Anatomy and now The good Doctor.

I like this show because it not only gives hope for children with developmental disabilities, it is educational. So as I watch, I’m learning about health issues in general and how they can affect people. I have also learned that sometimes, a small health challenge could be a very big issue. There was an episode where someone came to the hospital with something he thought was an ingrown hair, but turns out to be skin cancer.

My best character of course is Freddie Highmore! He is the main Character, known as Dr Shaun Murphy in the show. I loved Freddie since I saw August Rush. He was phenomenal.

My favorite part of the show was when Lea, Shaun’s girlfriend wanted him to lie to save her car from being seized from a tow truck operator, but he refused. At one point, it seemed like he was supporting her to steal back her car( it was hilarious how he signaled her to do so, as someone who had little social skills. I didn’t even understand the signal. LOL) it turns out that he went and paid for the car, but still helped her steal the car.

I enjoy watching this show with my family because it has minimal adult scenes and I can control what my children see on the Tv. Thankfully, Netflix gives age recommendations for each episode.
