Hollywood earns most of its money from American viewers, and thus depictions of Africa are not intended to be authentic, but rather appeal to the fantasies of Americans.

Yes I agree people should criticize inaccuracies, but in the end Hollywood is not Nollywood and most people involved in making have probably never met anyone from Oyo State or Benin.

If this film was made by Nigerians it would probably have been able to fit in a lot more nuance.
