Have you noticed how we all make mistakes in life, some small and some life changing. Our Fault is about those mistakes. After My Fault and Your Fault, this one finally turns it into a shared story. If you watched the first two films, this feels like emotional closure. If you are new, it helps to know this is a continuation of an unfinished love, with love, guilt, and forgiveness all tangled together.

Synopsis

Stepsiblings Noah and Nick once could not live without each other, but life pushed them apart. Years later they meet again at a friend’s wedding, and the old feelings return. Their bond is tested by time, pride, and consequences from the past. New responsibilities force hard choices, and a sudden act of violence changes their future again. In the end they must decide whether love can survive guilt and whether forgiveness can truly heal what happened.

Trailer

First impressions

The film opens with Noah and Nick living separate lives. At the wedding, one look brings back everything. That awkward silence, those eyes that seem to say, “You still live in my heart,” and the feeling that time did not fix anything. Both of them have changed, yet the emotions are the same. The tone is romantic drama, but it avoids loud, showy lines. It feels more real, with love sitting next to regret. Many scenes suggest they can only be happy together, while the world keeps telling them they should not be.

The plot then moves into heavier territory. Noah becomes pregnant. The two of them keep swinging between love and anger. Just when things seem to settle, Nick is shot and falls into a coma. By the time he wakes, Noah has already become a mother. In the late stretch, Briar sneaks into Nick’s house at night and tries to take his baby. Nick tells her she is not well and demands the child back. Michael is involved too, and after a scuffle they manage to stop them and hand them to the police. The final scenes bring a sense of peace, with Nick and Noah getting married and closing this chapter with a happy ending.

Emotional connect

The strongest part of the film is its emotional core. When Noah and Nick talk about their past, it does not feel like a scene. It feels like memory. Noah carries guilt on her face, that “I wish I had not stayed silent that day,” while Nick’s colder reactions still hide a lot of pain. The movie will not make you shout. It will make you quiet. Many moments made me ask myself, “If I were in that place, could I forgive.” That human pull is what worked for me. It takes you inside the emotion instead of only showing drama from the outside.

Visuals and mood

The cinematography is simple but soothing. Most scenes use soft lighting and natural tones, which keeps the world grounded. The music stays in the background. It is not loud, it supports the feeling. One wedding scene really stood out for me. They share a room, yet say nothing. There is no background score, only expressions. That silence speaks clearly, and the direction captures it well.

Positives ✅

  • The film avoids artificial drama and leans into real pain. Both characters cannot run from their past, and that honesty sets it apart.

  • The story is slow, but each scene carries an emotion. Even the lighter moments leave room for silence, which feels like real life.

  • For fans of My Fault and Your Fault, this is a satisfying end. A journey that began with guilt finally lands on peace.

  • The background score is gentle and melancholic. It deepens the feeling without taking over the scene.

Negatives ❌

  • The pacing is slow. When intensity should rise, the film sometimes sits in silence a bit too long.
  • If you saw the earlier parts, there are few fresh twists. You can guess several turns before they arrive.
  • If you start directly with Our Fault, it may be hard to understand the characters and their history.
  • Compared to the earlier films, the spark feels slightly dimmer. The emotions are present, but the same high intensity is not always there.

My experience

To be honest, the film gave me a quiet kind of comfort. It does not try to impress with big dialogues or high action. It simply slips into the heart. Many scenes felt like the director was saying, “Love is not about perfection. Mistakes are part of it.” Our Fault reminds me that asking for forgiveness is hard, but forgiving yourself can be even harder. The movie captures that feeling without overacting or fake tears.

Final verdict

If you like emotional, soft, and human love stories where love and mistakes share equal space, watch Our Fault. It does not shout. It leaves a thought in your heart.
I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. It is not a perfect love story, and the ending is not about perfection either. It feels like a story written from the heart.
