Today we are having a look at Toradora. It is a romance anime that I watched many years ago when it was first released. Then over the years have watched a further few times and loved it everytime.

The story involves Ryuuji Takasu who has a kind and gentle personality, but looks like an intimidating delinquent who is shunned by the school. They are all scared of him due to his eyes!
Alongside Ryuuji is his best friend Yusaku Kitamura. An interesting character whose traits and impressiveness does not reflect in his character design at all. He's pretty darn cool infact.
Next we have Minori Kushieda who is a fun red head who Ryuuji has a crush on, whose best friend Taiga Aisaka aka the Palmtop Tiger I would consider is the 2nd main character.
Taiga has a very minuature and delicate appearance which is a compelete opposite of her really brutal personality and sheer aggression.

Ryuuji and Taiga come together after he finds out that Taiga has a crush on his best friend Yusaka. Taiga find sout he has a crush on Minori and so the pair join forces to help each other capture the heart of their respective crushes.
I won't spoil how thet each find this out but it is an amazing part in the anime that really gave a glimpse into just what Taiga can do.

Toradora was originally aired in 2008 on TV Tokyo and later released on DVD in 2010.
It was adapated from the light novel series by Yuyuko Takemiya.

It is a really good starter anime in my eyes as it has a good, easy to follow storyline. It's cute, funny, and has a mix of violence that will bring a chuckle. Taiga takes action and tries to remove someones memory in one part of the anime and from there I knew I'd love this one!

Really can't reccomend this enough to new anime watchers and the veterans alike.
