Image created with CANVA PRO

Welcome to this week's new CineTV Community Newspaper. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and having an awesome Sunday?

And maybe you find time and inspiration to join in on one of the many writing prompts that our social media manager @thisismylife has posted on twitter. Are you already following our twitter?

Our Social Media manager is extremely busy as she's prepping for a big move, so it is quieter on our Twitter account. But if you scroll down in the twitter timeline you can find many interesting writing prompts to give you inspiration and a reason to blog!

Any prompt is always usable. We'd love to see you do that!

CINE COMMUNITY UPDATE

Again we have a quiet week in terms of community updates. But that doesn't mean that we don't have any news. Of course there is something tell you guys. This week it´s something that especially the INSTAGRAM lovers will like to read. At CineTV we think it is important to stay in touch with you. Not just through HIVE. The major social media channels are also important for this. We have been active on Twitter for a long time. And now you can also find us on INSTAGRAM. Of course we still have to find our way there. Of course we hope you will help with that by hitting the ¨FOLLOW¨ button! Thank you in advance!

Here´s the link to our official INSTAGRAM account

Let´s connect!

CINE CONTEST UPDATE

Like every week, our contest is up and running, in which a number of people have already participated. But there is still time for you to climb into your keyboard too, and write that fantastic blog that can make you a winner too.

This week's contest asks you to write a blog about your favorite Sci-Fi TV Show.

If you're a sucker for Sci-Fi TV Shows, here's your chance! You still have two days to participate. The submission deadline is 25th May, 2022, 11:59 PM, UTC time. Go, go, go!

A little note. We would love to read your personal stories. Why is that one movie or series so special to you? What impact has it had on you? Did a movie or series change your mind about certain things? Just to name a few examples.

Now that we said that, let's move on!

And of course, feel free to browse over all blogs written under the #cinetv tag. There are so many awesome blogs, and if your blog is not highlighted that does not mean it is not awesome. We appreciate each and everone of you, who takes the effort to write up a unique, original blog with movie or tv-related content.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK

We couldn't avoid it of course. The long-awaited return of Tom Cruise in Top Gun. After more than thirty years, Tom returns to his role as Pete (Maverick) Mitchell. We've heard a lot about this movie, and expectations are high. Can Top Gun: Maverick live up to all expectations? Or does this film have to rely on some blood-curdling flight scenes and the stunning 6K resolution?

Get ready for the return of Tom Cruise, and relive 80s nostalgia with a modern twist!

THE LOST CITY

With an all-star cast including Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe, Brad Pitt and a number of other actors, you'd expect The Lost City to be a movie worth watching. Whether this action comedy will live up to those expectations remains to be seen. This will not be due to the cast, nor to the fun they had while filming The Lost City. That radiates from it!

A-HA: THE MOVIE

For the documentary and music lovers! This documentary follows the band over a period of four years and shares the full story of how three young men followed their impossible dream to make it big. It has now become clear that this dream was not so impossible. Even today, "Take On Me" is one of the most played songs of this millennium.

The film accurately portrays the challenging creative and personal dynamics of a group of three strong individuals. This is a story of great music, great ambitions, broken friendships - and maybe forgiveness.

MOVIE & CELEBRITY GOSSIPS

  • Her, now ex, partner Eddie Boxhall has noticed that Denise Van Outen does not accept nonsense in her relationship. When Eddie admitted that he had exchanged about 20 sexts, it was enough for Denise. She threw Eddie out the door yelling obscenities.
And so another relationship came to an end after 7 years. I suspect Eddie is done swapping sext messages by now.

  • Anyone who has always enjoyed Coronation Street has probably thoroughly enjoyed one of the series' biggest stars, Bill Roache! What a surprise that this Bill is now coming out at 90 years old with the news that he had actually wanted to give up this role. He had a big dream to star in Western movies alongside Clint Eastwood
Oh well, everyone has dreams shall we say. But for Bill, this will remain a dream now. In any case, let's not forget that even now at 90 years old, Bill still shines in Coronation Street. He now has another dream, still playing Coronation Street at 100 years old! 10 years to go, Stay strong and keep going Bill!

  • We linger in the soap opera Coronation Street for a while. In the soap, of course, the characters experience the necessary. But sometimes there is also something going on in the private lives of the actors / actresses. For example, Alison King broke off her engagement after she and her fiancé grew apart. The wedding had previously been postponed due to Covid.
It looks like Covid has made relationships quite sick as well as people.

  • Be honest, who doesn't secretly follow the antics of the English royal family. And when we talk about the English royal family, we immediately think of Meghan Markle and her Prince Charming! After they left the Royal House, they got their own problems. Now Another top aid of the couple has resigned
It's not easy to have a life in the spotlight, but now they still have to do more themselves. There's a consolation, it's only the 12th top aid to step down since their 2018 wedding, so Harry & Meghan probably got used to it.

This is it for this week.

WE WILL RETURN!

Nice community update. I am interested to see the new Top Gun movie if for no other reason than curiosity. Special effects have come a long way since the original. I happen to like most of Tom Cruise's movies.
We did watch The Lost City. It was entertaining and funny. There was some decent story to it as well. And it wasn't too long.
