Lo primero que tengo que decir es que el título en español de esta película no le hace nada de justicia a la historia que la misma cuenta, pues más allá de que el protagonista es un viudo cascarrabia y amante de las leyes y normas, a medida que lo vamos conociendo, realmente no es un mal vecino ni una mala persona, solo es alguien que piensa que el bien común se logra a base de cumplir las mismas, cosa que logra irritar a la gran mayoría de personas, incluyéndome cuando se rozan los extremos.

Esta película toca muchos temas importantes, desde la depresión y la sensación de inutilidad en las personas de mayor edad, de la cual somos culpables muchos de nosotros, hasta como nuestra vida puede cambiar su colores cuando estamos con la persona correcta, por lo que siento que su mensaje es muy diverso, siendo una de las pocas veces en la que he visto que suman mensajes de inclusión, a través de un joven que cambio de sexo, de gran forma, ya que se siente orgánico por el peso que tiene la esposa de nuestro protagonista para que esté se aceptará tal cual como es, al igual de que fue una boya para que el protagonista pudiera conseguir su pasión, explotando así su potencial interno.

Pero lo más importante y potente de esta cinta es su mensaje en relación al suicidio, pues pese a que Otto, interpretado por el grandísimo Tom Hanks, no veía esperanza al final del túnel luego de la muerte de su esposa, este intentó quitarse la vida en múltiples ocasiones, para luego conseguir poderse abrir con sus nuevos vecinos, quienes fueron considerados molestos por él desde un inicio, pero estos terminan siendo la familia que nunca pudo tener, logrando darle un nuevo sentido a su vida y una motivación para seguir adelante.

La actuación de Tom Hanks fue impecable, supo darle la intensidad emocional a cada escena, imprimiendo melancolía y tristeza en dosis adecuadas, así como también irá al ver que las reglas se rompían y le hablaban de su fallecida esposa, culminando con una escena excelente donde sus problemas de salud hacen que se desplome en el suelo de forma más que creíble. Los actores que hicieron de Otto joven y de Sonya, su esposa, también transmitieron muy bien el amor que estos llegaron a sentir, pero lo hecho Mariana Treviño como Marisol, la nueva vecina que logra sacarlo de sus penumbras, fue realmente espléndido, muy fresco y con las dosis de emocionalidad adecuadas en todo momento.

Tom Hanks' performance was impeccable, he knew how to give emotional intensity to each scene, printing melancholy and sadness in adequate doses, as well as going to see that the rules were broken and they talked about his deceased wife, culminating with an excellent scene where his health problems cause him to collapse on the ground in a more than believable way. En conclusión, realmente me gustó mucho esta película, esta es un remake de otro sueca llamada "A Man Called Ove", dato que desconocía antes de verla, pues tampoco he visto esa cinta, por lo que al no saber de que trataba la historia, me puede inmersionar de mejor forma, y más allá de su actuaciones, el mensaje que nos deja es simplemente hermoso, y puede ser una ayuda para cualquier otra persona que esté pasando por un mal momento, pues siempre hay opciones para salir del lugar oscuro en el que nos podamos encontrar, logrando en lo particular, que me llene nuevamente de esperanza.

In conclusion, I really liked this film a lot, this is a remake of another Swedish one called "A Man Called Ove", a fact that I did not know before I saw it, because I have not seen that film either, so not knowing what the story was about , he can immerse me in a better way, and beyond his performances, the message he leaves us is simply beautiful, and can be a help to anyone else who is going through a bad time, because there are always options to get out of the dark place in which we can meet, achieving in particular that it fills me with hope again.
