Hello and welcome to the 44TH edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. The Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun in a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community and showcase the work of deserving authors.

And it’s all simple. Every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style, and word count. It is not a contest, but just our way of creating exposure for the works we enjoyed throughout the week and boosting exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.

So, in no particular order, here are the authors spotlighted for this week:

Title: Our Times

Personally, that last bit was stupid to me. Hector sucked. He was a mediocre man, who would rather leave the women he loves than adapt to the current time ran away. It took him less then a week to develop a victim complex. He also said some really horrible things to Nora, told her she should be grateful he helped her at all, instead of realizing the only reason he wasn't her assistant was due to the time they were in.

Title: No Other Land: Living and Resisting Through the Ruins of the Palestine

Each person captured in this film resists the role of passive victim. Their dignity isn’t constructed through tropes of resilience or survival—it’s found in the mundane: fixing a broken pipe, salvaging bricks, recounting what was there before the last demolition. I left No Other Land with a feeling I haven’t shaken: these aren’t just stories of dispossession—they’re stories of resistance through remembrance. The film doesn’t let you stay neutral. It stares back. And it dares you to carry what it reveals—not as guilt, but as responsibility.

Title: The Big Short

1001231374.jpg

Well after watching this movie, it's hardly an exaggeration to say I've developed this.
I was just on my own, minding my own business, mindlessly doom scrolling on Instagram when I came across another one of my awesome movie clips, and this one piqued my interest so bad, my hairs stood on end.
A movie depicting the 2008 financial crisis?
And one that has Christian Bale on set?
Sign me up!!

Title: Blind Date (1959)

1001231387.png

Another interesting aspect to point out is how appearances are of vital importance within the higher social classes. Lady Helen Fenton (played by Presle) shows us how far a person accustomed to keeping up appearances is able to go in the face of fear of scandal. At first glance, she appeared to be a dull woman in search of excitement... but inside she was perhaps facing the fear that her husband, Sir Howard, was leaving her for a cabaret singer. This detail is ironic;

Title: The Nutty Professor

1001231388.jpg

Growing up, I always watch actors like Will Smith, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, and the likes but one of my favorite among this actor is Eddie Murphy because I love the way he acts and find a way to include comedy in all of his movie. I watched one recently which brought back a lot of memories and this film, I’ll be sharing it with you.

Title: Plane

1001231397.jpg

Plane is a short movie, Torannce performance as the captain of the plane was incredible, sacrificial and brave , he tried his possible best to save all the passengers, protected them genuinely and one of the shocking part was when he offered himself to distract the militants so the passengers can escape the bad territory. Torrance played his role as perfectly...

Title: Not So Desperate After All: The Real Queens of Wisteria-Lane

1001231408.png

Jealousy, competition, and even betrayals all showed their ugly heads, but one thing is for damn sure: the ladies always found their way back to one another. I lived for their legendary Friday night poker games, which were really meetings where they felt free to gossip and talk trash about people. Their bond is the dream bond that I wish to have some day with my girls.

Title: Me Before You

1001231416.png

Furthermore, this film, as I mentioned earlier, touches on a delicate subject in a very human way, and makes you question whether you would rather choose to die than continue living with such a debilitating illness. In other words, the decision is not only the sick person's, but also the family's, and it's very hard to watch, but with the help of this great love, everything becomes more bearable.

And there you have it! Congratulations to all those spotlighted this week. We look forward to more exceptional content. And to everyone posting in the community, we look forward to seeing more of you around.
